postdoc fellowship-CEC

Hello!

I have doubts if I can apply for express entry under the CEC program. My situation is the following...

I'm working in a hospital in Montreal as a postdoctoral fellow since Jan 2013, so I have more than one year of experience working in Canada. But:


1) I received a fellowship from a third nation from Jan 2013 to June 2014 and is paid directly to me. I received T4 and T4A showing 0 salary for the 2013.
However, I received benefits from my supervisor for dental and prescription insurance. In the fellowship letter, it was mentioned that "fellowship should not be compared to salaries and should be exempted from taxes".

I am receiving salary + benefits from my supervisor starting from July 2014 to til date.

2) I'm a postdoctoral trainee at university hospital but not an employee

So... I was thinking... Am I allowed to include the work experience that I gained from Jan 2013 to June 2014 under this program? Please clarify [/i][/i]

Given the circumstances you will not be eligible for CEC. You cannot include any of your work experience, as you were not an employee, and thus not employed, and therefore have no work experience in CIC's eyes.
