After seeing the pictures! I was relieved.... hahaha! I thought I was the only one! I thought ours was the thickest!

Well, because they transferred our file to a local office and said that it will take 18-24 months before they open it again.... They should buy a big filing cabinet just for our file....because we will be sending them documents monthly until they say OK ...OK....OK..... we got it! YOU ARE APPROVE! hahahah

Hey great thread and lots of useful advice on here! Just wondering if you get all the photos, cards, letters, emails back at some point after you have been approved? My husband is Hungarian, Im Canadian, we live in Dublin Ireland...just starting out all the paper work, looks like a long road ahead of us! Good luck to everyone ;D

We have given them EVERY LAST ITEM WE HAD, and this is all we had!

Then, after photocopying it, we sent it out. Then we had a flood, and lost EVERYTHING, including the receipt (lots of baby pictures from my son, too! =( ). Both our hard drives crashed around the same time, losing all our softcopies. We didn't know we would need skype history, etc, so never saved that... OH MY GRACIOUS! XD We do not normally take pictures, we never had what might be considered 'meaningful' conversations over the internet via forums or chat (but we used to talk for hours on all subjects in our online game and over skype, teamspeak and ventrillo). Most of our relationship has been oral. Grah! I even forgot to give them his "essay" question! (On a separate sheet of paper, provide more evidence that you're a real couple)

Our answers are seven to fifteen word sentences. They are honest, we are genuine, and everything is TO THE POINT. Reading up on what other people sent has been rattling to me. Our only hope is that they will be able to see from what we were able to send that we're a 'real USCAN couple'! That, and praying for no interview but somehow an approval.

take it easy :) everything is case by case don't worry; i'm sure u'll be fine; just continue collecting proofs from now on and back them up on more hard drives ;)

@hobby dont worry, as long as u have been honest in ur app and genuine in ur relp, they will see that despite ur limited proof , i have read somwehere that one submitted only 11 photos and got approved. Just make sure u have explained the circumstances why u have limited proof and im sure things will work out just fine for you. Good luck to all of us!

Missmini is right. U can send more proof later on. Im sure in two months of waiting for sponsorship approval, ul be able to collect more proof. And yes, backing up is ur friend. I learned the hard way bec we also lost all our early photots and stuff in friendster (wasnt able to retrieve them before they shut down)

I hear ya mate, from Scotland my mannie is canadian, well....this is NOT a British Commonwealth for us from the isle. Same size if not in fees, postage and plus the $$ in fees, postage, re-fees, exams, tests, checks and more. I think someone from the gov't came thru my toilet to check the other day too. LOL

I finally sent off our application! ;D

It weighed less than 3 pounds but had what my boyfriend and I considered to be enough info to pass immigration's scrutinity.

I love this thread! I wish I had seen it before mailing my application off! Mine was about four and a half pounds, and I had everything neatly divided in coloured paper folders with labels, which were then placed in separate envelopes. I didn't even need to mail it in a box. A Canada Post large envelope was sufficient, much to my surprise!

I hope everyone's process goes as smoothly as possible. :)

Mine was sent in a banker's box and I am not going to tell you the weight!!!! :P

But it was all neatly organized and separated and quite beautiful!!!!

And I just did not want to hear those words...."we need more proof".
