If you have a valid Immigrant Visa on a Valid Passport (less than 6 month) no one stops to go to the Country that issued that Immigrant Visa. Just have all the requirements to layover flight and stop over countries.I don't think so that any Airline could stop you from boarding if you have valid visa stamped and your passport is still valid. I am pretty sure 6 months passport validity is a condition both for stamping and travelling. As we have Indian consulate in various countries where the passport could be easily renewed.
