Have you went to additional medical test as per NDVO request,reviewing on that results they issued the medical passed or based on reviewing the first medical test,please clarify.

My wife's Cardiac Investigations had happened on Saturday 1st July. Everything was fine. The reason was that in the first medical's X-ray report the size of the heart was bigger. So they got suspicious and instructed for further investigations.

Ashu, now most of us are in queue for PPR request, fingers crossed and by God's grace all should receive visa in this month itself !!

Background Check is not a necessary condition. That is an optional item. This is clearly mention in gckey Background Check Help (?) menu (In some cases, not for every case) :-
In some cases, we need to verify criminal, security and/or other background information to make sure you are admissible to Canada. If we need more information from you, we will send you a message.

I think they would check for your previous 10 years records, work experience, countries visited etc. in case they have any doubt on the documentation submitted only then they would initiate the background process. In case someone has visited Canada earlier they may have some advantage as their records would be available with them. Performing extensive background checks is a costly affair and not possible on each and every case..any other thoughts?
