Hello Asivad,

Greetings!!

I recently got my ITA & looking for your help on the below queries for post ITA docs upload.

1. While filling post ITA forms, I mentioned my spouse's education details, but did not have the ECA and mentioned NO there. But still the checklist asks for her proof of education documents. So will it be an issue if I upload her degrees without ECA? Though I do not get any points for her education in my CRS and my EE profile points grid shows below for the same:

CRS - Spouse - Level of Education 0

Also, would it be fine if I remove her education details and put them under Personal history section? I hope it should not cause any issue with my application.

Please suggest which way is best.

Exclude it completely from education history and provide full disclosure in Personal history. Won't be a cause for concern as you're not getting points for this.

2. I excluded her part-time work from the application which she has been doing in US and did not mention in the Work experience section. Should I include it in her Personal history section OR mark it as Unemployed in this section? I am also not getting any points for her India experience as well.

CRS - Spouse - Canadian Work Experience 0

Exclude it completely from work history and be factually accurate in Personal history. If she is doing part-time work and studying full-time, mention Education. Else mention Unemployed.

3. My brother is a Canadian citizen and I can get his passport, citizenship documents, house registry to prove his status. But I am unable to get his bank statements, utility bills etc. for last 6 months to prove he is still living there. Will it cause any problem with my application if I only submit his passport, citizenship docs and exclude the other documents?

Just for your info, my FSW points are 79/100 without 5 adaptability points having my brother there in Canada. I am not looking for his support, but since the application forms asks to fill in the details of your immediate family members, so I have to fill in his details and the checklist now asks for his documents.

Submit as many documents as you can and upload an LOE highlighting that you're clearly eligible for the program even without claiming those 5 points under Adaptability and that you have provided all possible documents at your end despite not claiming those points towards eligibility and politely request the officer to consider your application as complete and process it on its merits.

Please help me in clarifying my queries.

Thanks a lot Asivad for your help!!! One last question.

Since she is not studying here and only doing part-time work, so I should be mentioning her status as Employed, under personal history. Is that correct?

Doesn't really matter but go ahead and state it as Employed to maintain factual accuracy. Hope it doesn't prompt you for any documents!

Hey Asivad,

One quick question. So I got married in April 2015 and I was in India only for a week (sounds strange but that's off the topic LOL). I got my India Police Clearance on Feb 28 2015 from Canada. Considering if I submit my application by July end, should I get a new Police Certificate or am I good with the existing one. I know this one is good for 6 months and I only need to get a new one if I stayed there for over 6 months.

Thank You!

Hi friends,

Today I am going to submit the documents in few hours and going to Pay 1040 C.dollers. I am single...

Once done.. I have few questions...

1. what is the next step?
2. will I get a confirmation number.. If Yes - what is it ?
3. I am working in a ICT , Closed WP... with my employer name in it and with city mentioned in the WP... I would like to get a open WP..
when can I apply for open WP ?
4. what is the overall time period to know our EE profile is approved and we are sure to get the PR?

5. I am in Canada now and will be leaving to my home country for more than 6 months...
when I need to submit the PP for stamping?

6. when to do the landing ? CIC send some document for landing?

7. If I leave the country and would like to change the address for communication and to inform any change in details to which email address I need to send the information ? or do I need to call any number from India ?
Or everything can be changed using my CIC Online account ?

Thanks

That PCC is valid, you don't need another one.

Hi,

I am filling up the POST ITA form, it is asking family information of my spouse.

This includes any parent, any spouse or common-law partner, any child including adult children, and any brothers or sisters. If the relative is deceased, provide the date of death.
• Check the list at the bottom of the form first to see information you have already saved.
• When you click "Save and Add", each relative's details will be saved to the list.
• The fields will go blank to let you add details about another relative.
• Use the modify or delete button if you want to change details that you have already saved to the list.

Why do i need to fill up details of her parents and brothers ? They are not included in the app ? Am i wrong in understanding ?

They aren't included in the application but they are blood relatives and could be potentially sponsored into Canada so CIC will be keen on knowing their details.

Hello Asivad Anac,

Need your help again.

I will be uploading my Marriage Certificate as there is a separate upload section for that. Do I need to submit a separate Affidavit for the Name Change of my Wife (since her Surname Changed after marriage) or Marriage Certificate is sufficient.

Waiting for your response. Thanks in anticipation.

You can do this using a CSE. Members have reported success using CSE but it is not guaranteed that CIC will definitely respond positively to such a request.
