Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) current actual processing time

I submitted my PGWP application online on January 3rd.
And last Thursday on January 7th my application has been decided/closed.

Isn't it the fastest permit processing time ever?!

Unfortunately, my application is REFUSED.

I guess they are fast when it comes to refusing an application. -_-

"[X] After considering all the circumstances of your case, it has been determined that you are not
a person whose employment will create or maintain significant employment, benefits or
opportunities for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Foreign students in Canada are eligible for a work permit for post-graduation employment only if
they have engaged in full-time studies for at least eight months at a:
 University, community college, CEGEP,
 publicly funded trade/technical school or
 private institution authorized by provincial statute to confer degrees

As you do not meet this requirement, it has been determined that you are not eligible for a work
permit in this category."

The officer didn't seem to look through my application carefully. I DID study for eight months full-time in a University, I was only a part-time student on my last semester, because there wasn't anymore required courses for me to complete the program.

I am going to sent a reconsideration letter. Worst case, I have to re-apply with an extra letter from school I guess.

I applied online 21 Aug, I called them today, he said " CIC starts working on your application on 31 Oct, and they have 120 days to finish it so you will get the decision on the end of Feb or the first week of March"... I really dont understand, so many tricks they could do to give themselves excuses to delay without a dead line.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if I can still apply for a PGWP by paper? I noticed most of you applied online. Will my application take longer to be processed if I applied by paper or online? Thank you.

Guys, I received a reply yesterday - after having waited since May for a reply, and my PGWP was refused. I went back into my application - and instead of a "letter from an institution" showing I'd completed my studies at the university, it was a repeated upload of my passport page. I absolutely cannot believe this happened, nor can I believe that I overlooked that when applying.
Absolutely distraught.

They said I can apply for restoration of status, and pay $455 - I'm assuming this cost is for restoration of status ($200) and also $255 to again apply for the PGWP. But at least they've given me this option to restore, and not just said "get out"..

I'm so worried now though because my study permit expired at the end of July...so I'm not within the 90 days anymore, but do you think the because my original application was within the original time frame, that they will restore my status and consider my PGWP again??
Like I said, I'm so upset at the moment. Have also had to leave my job as I'm no longer allowed to be employed in Canada.

If anyone could help, or has been in this situation...I'd really appreciate it.
Also when you're uploading your stuff, CHECK and double check !!!!!

Hey am in similar situation, I applied for restoration+pgwp again. have you taken any steps yet?

My PGWP application is approved today. I applied on August 17th, 2015. First blank update October 30th, 2015 and got approved today. I contacted my local MP for the delay in application process and I asked her help for this. Within a day I got the result!

I got an email saying my application has been updated.
On logging in to my account, on the homepage the application is approved. But when i click on 'check status and messages', the status there is 'open'.

Did this happen to anyone else too??
I am a little confused
