hi friends,
I have completed my studies and due to some family emergency I had to come back to India. Unfortunately I do not have a valid TRV and the PGWP processing time from India is 11 weeks. I was wondering if I can apply for a TRV as my study permit is valid till 30th November 2018. Also if I apply for PGWP can I mention the country of residence as Canada (would that be a problem), as the processing time is 11 weeks which is way too long.
Thanks
Komal

Study permit becomes void 90 days after you get your final transcript i.e 18 august...also you need to apply for PGWP within 90 days of finishing your school...you cannot put country of residence as Canada because they gonna easily find it out and can put ban on you for upto 5 years for providing incorrect information...the best you can do is apply for TRV using study permit ASAP and come back Canada by the first week of august

Okay, I’ll apply for my trv. One last question. Is there a possibility of my trv being rejected considering I’ve recieved my transcripts.
Thanks

Quick Question, when you filled your online application for PGWP, did you fill out the schedule 1 IMM5257 form? and do you have to if you are applying from within Canada?
