Hi, Can anyone please let me know if I have to stop working temporarily when the expiry date in the WP-EXT form is approaching,

if so can I resume working only after getting another extension to WP-EXT after raising a webform

Anyone, please advise me on this
You can keep working full-time regardless the expiry date of the WP-EXT letter, you don't need to ask for an extension, you can in case your employer is requesting proof that you can keep working, if not, you don't have to raise a webform. See info below taken from IRCC website

If we don’t finalize your application by the date on your letter
If we don’t finalize your application by the date on your letter, you can still keep working until we make a decision.

If your employer or others need proof that you can continue to work

  • you can show them this web page, or
  • if your employer is not satisfied with the information on this page, you can contact us

Thank you so much for letting me know

Seeing the following statement I assumed a continued WP-EXT form might be required, based on the info from this IRCC site

If the 120 days have passed and no decision has been rendered
In cases where the 120 days have passed and no decision has been rendered, the applicant may request continued proof of authorization to work using the IRCC web form.
...
Your authorization to work is continued under paragraph 186(w) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations for an additional 120 days from the date of this letter or until a final decision is made, whichever comes first.

Thanks again!

Hoping everyone get it soon, I know we all been waiting for long enough but everyone's time will come :)

We also receive our PNP nomination a few days ago, now PR application time - Probably another 2 years of wait time lol.
May I ask you when did you apply for PNP? My husband is waiting since February

I'm not sure how the communication between applicants, and the Ontario PNP office works, but when my wife's application was taking longer than the expected processing times (3 months) We emailed the BC-PNP office and they got back to us with an update staying at what stage of the process the officer was. Maybe try sending them an email asking about the delay in processing.
