This letter not many people receive, but one of my friend who received such a letter got his WP approved in 2 days which is crazy, hope that happens with you

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have to extend their spouse’s open work permit? Do you know if you need to be working full time to be able to apply?

Do you mean when you are applying for PGWP? If you submit an application for SOWP extension with your PGWP application, you don’t need a job. But if you apply for SOWP extension after getting your PGWP, then yes you need a job because you need to attach at least 3 months of pay stub.

Yes. I applied for PGWP on May 12. I am working part time in an NOC B job. 20 hours only. Can I apply for my husband’s extension now or do I have to wait until I get more than 30 hours along with the PGWP?

As far as I know, since you already lodged your application, then you need to provide 3 months of pay stub. I’m not sure, though, if that 3 months should be full time. Others may comment differently.

Ok. I thought it was 3 pay stubs, regardless of interval. But thank you

Hi, I applied for pgwp on May 5. I am still waiting. My spouse's work permit will expire on June 30th. Can I apply sowp for my spouse without waiting for my application result?
