Hi Guys,

My Post Graduate work Permit is expiring. I am currently working Full time. Can my Employer file for my work permit extension/Renewal.

I think they need to apply for LMIA.

hi, by the way how many years pg work permit you were given, after how many semesters of study, generally people get PR before the expiry of work permit by working in the provinces which grant PR by the virtue of working there for one year or two year.

pgwp is a one time deal it cannot be extended unless its bridging work permit if u have applied for PR. another option is for ur employer to process an LMIA and then once approved u apply for LMIA based work permit.

hi All,

my master degree was of two years. after i was graduated i applied for PGWP and got the permit for 1.5 years instead of 3 years and they didn't mention any reason .

i have contacted CIC and they said that they put a request and it takes about 3 months to get a response.

what should i do ? should i reapply right away ?

is ur passport valid for more than 3 years?

yes, it is valid for more 8 years.
