Yes it's IP2 and maybe your Eligibility Test is passed after you got GCMS notes. Your security check is probably started now.

Eligibility Test is not hard unless things are little complicated. Mostly the problem is with work experience as it is difficult to verify and most employers will avoid being contacted and CIC recognises this.

IELTS, ECA, AGE, and other documents can be verified online within few minutes. For work experience they run extensive research online to establish if this company really exists.

In security they will check records from databases in Canada as well as with International partners. Unless you worked for a company under investigation or visited country that is under radar you will be fine.

I work for a global recognized bank, ref on letterhead since 2005. In Syd and Vancouver. Reference number & email on there too.

Not sure if its just me but i keep thinking up things why is get rejected, this is a brutal brutal process. The unknown is stressful

Hi Bill, it looks like for some reason, my document checklist didn't prompt for birth certificate at all. Is this supposed to be provided in LOE?

Me too. For that matter, i didn't even upload IELTS, ECA and raised a CSE for those.

I was told that document checklist varies and is not the same for all candidates. However, i'm not sure about it.

You can attach it with National ID Document if it is available or in LOE. However, Birth Certificate is no more required unless they ask for it as an additional document.

Hi Bill,

Need your advice on an issue: My spouse had his medical recently, and the doctor asked for two additional tests after check-up, in addition to the default ones. These were
- ECG
- Second blood test for Creatinine

The results of these tests were not shared with him, but he was able to glance over the ECG report, and it said "normal ECG with sinus arrythmia".

He had not slept the night before, and perhaps, the fatigue was the cause of the slight abnormality. Should we be worried and consider scheduling another medical?

You have a legal right to ask your panel doctor for results and they should have told you the results. Only blood test reports can't be shared as they take time but for all other tests you can ask them results using their links.

CIC also requires panel doctors to tell patient remedial actions if their is a problem with results. If your panel doctor didn't ask for another test then most probably he has passed it.

I hope this will help.

Another question. For the WES ECA, is the soft copy OK, or is it important to get a scan of the hard copy? In my case, the date mentioned on the soft copy and the hard copy are different, and I used the one on the soft copy. As for my spouse' ECA, we've misplaced the hard copy. So, it will delay the application submission if we have to ask WES for another hard copy. The main difference between the hard copy and the soft copy seems to be that the WES logo is in colour in the hard copy.

What would you suggest?

Hey Bill don't you think that may be a bit fickle of CIC to reject WES' own electronic copy though? I mean like you said the ref number is there and they should perform a verification check similar to ielts (trf #).

Hi @BillHyatt, is CIC super strict on whether documents are scanned or pictured? For OINP, I submitted pictured (using a camera) documents because my uncles (mom's brothers) are above 70yo and they live in Manitoba with no scanner. They don't even have data on their phones :). Does it matter if it was still legible?

Also, for OINP, I submitted my husband's aunts' documents (his father's cousins) because they lived in Ontario. A way to say that we have connections there. For CIC, do I still have to submit them? I am just wondering if CIC would cross-check our application from our OINP application.

Please advise. Thank you!
