Dear Friends,
It looks like most of the visa officers are on leave. Due to this they are not able to cope up with applications. Again this will create backlog and hence process will be further delayed. I cannot imagine how they are going to process applications and whom they are going to give priority. Cannot imagine about timelines when we will get passports back with maple leaf. :P

I believe the background checks are still not satisfactory or complete in our cases. They may be deliberately holding our passports and performing background checks. I dont know how they are performed but it requires a lot of correspondence on CHC's part which is very time consuming and as they are short staffed, they simply dont have time process our case files unless they are clear cut. As they look into case files, they are asking for proof of marriage, employment etc. The background checks will ensue until VO wants to. they may have internally set a target date for processing of cases to complete say 12 months. So it seems that they can keep our case files in process till then.

I agree. I am sure that there is still something which we think are ok but not satisfactory for the VO and dont be surprised if we are in for a rude shock of further queries. Dont want to sound a pessimist but from the current situation this is coming to my mind as the best guess

Background check pending or not satisfactory may be possible in one odd case, but we are large
no of applicants so its not possible in all our casas. Only possibility seems to me is finding anomilies
in one or more case VO might have ordred to secrutinize all the other casas, again its my guess only,
More there is delay more we are getting indulged in negitivity. May all mighty bless us all.

I dont think so,BC being done with so many cases with similar times makes no sense,We r nearly 19 applicants how come none of us got through BC,In forum also Cases cleared are mostly from kathmandu(barring 2)which has seprate quota(IMO)..I met 2-3 ppl in CIIP at Delhi with similar timelines they r also waiting.....my thoughts our files are dumped at sm corner.

Process is same for all applicants, how come some get clearance in 15-30 days and some cases with similar timelines are not cleared.

Oh Common CB, please keep in mind we are dealing with a high commission office who have been dealing with passports for so many years. I seriously doubt that our passports are dumped. There has to be some genuine reason for the delay. Maybe something is missing from our side. As far as you and i are concerned, u submitted your new passports recently and i submitted my old passports recently. We should find out from others whether there is something missing from their side and we will get our answers that incomplete/requirements applications are kept in abeyance.

We should ask aaycee to add this column in our spread sheet and i am sure will all have a clue.

What say

Not sure of that but in my opinion the VO's encash the draft almost immediately. "Paisa kaun chodega". Encash it first in case has to be refunded it will be later

Waise "paise kaun chodega" attitude of VO or immediate RPRF encashment can be verified simply by sharing our respective RPRF receiving Dates..
My RPRF reached VO ON 13TH March and my RPRF got encashed on 17th March.

Mine reached VO on 30th March and was encashed on 7th april.

Mine reached 16th March encashed 22nd March

Guys pls comeforward and mention anything/requirement that you have received from CHC like how i received requirement for old pp, CB for new passport with laminates, mayankpandya for marriage and so on. It will help us understand y all of us are stuck.

Regarding adding a column in our spreadsheet, i'l definitely do that in no time but i guess there are not many of us having necessarily missing something in our application. And if so, i invite all to please share...

Hey Aaycee, u can start with mine and CB. for me old passports required

O.k. let's consider ur statement to be correct. If we all 19 applicants have something missing then how are we going to know about that ? I mean its almost 90 days we all submitted our final documents i.e RPRF and passports. If something was missing than it has to be communicated by VO on BFD ? It has not happened. So I guess that our batch passports are dumped somewhere which is not located by Visa officers. :(
