Has anyone got the request for passport today? It must be so painful for all you people.

If they take longer to process than Sep 20th would that be an automatic refusal because it is too late to enroll?

I have a feeling on Tuesdays they send out major correspondence. I have a feeling some people in this group may hear something tomorrow. Fingers crossed...

Eid Holidays are now from Sept 11th to Sept 18th.
If we don't get it this week, we lose our admissions :(

Did you submit your passport with the application or are you waiting for their request to ask for passport?

Honestly, I'm so frustrated with these people. The Abu Dhabi visa office is just ridiculous. How can you make people pay 700 dirhams and then make them wait so long that they miss their classes? I mean, I've had to pay around 700dirhams for the application, 800 dirhams for the medical test, 1400 dirhams to travel abroad and give my biometrics. And they don't even have the decency to process the permits before the start of term? If it takes so long for y'all, why don't you hire more employees? Or if you know you can't process so many applications before start of term, why don't you set a deadline; a last date we can submit applications or, a limit to how many applications you can take?
I now feel like we should've applied in April instead of June. But I wish they had let us known that such and such date is the deadline if you want your visa by September. They knew that Labour day and Eid holidays were coming up. Why didn't they make the necessary preparations??
I'd expected more efficiency from these people. Sigh.

They are not concerned a tiny bit about the deadlines..

What's worse is that there is no way to contact them. If you are going to keep us on hold for that long, at least entertain the applicants! Let them visit the embassy and ask them about their visa. Trying to email them takes around 15 days! I understand they get a lot of applicants, and that's totally fine, but there should be more communication at least.

Still alhamdulillah ala kulli haal. Things could be worse.
Btw, they do have a Facebook page "Canada in UAE". Since they don't respond to emails properly, and don't provide any means of communication, I'm thinking of commenting there.

They're off from Sep 11th to Sep 13th.
