That's not true.
I'm a PR and I'm working for the government. There were a bunch of posts stating that citizens and PR are on the same level. There is some exceptions but there's exceptions for everything, such as positions only for native people.
Also new comers have available training that is helpful when getting a job for the government.
So let's not spread misinformation and instead support people who's jobs are to help people.
Already been concluded that I was wrong.

They mention delays in ceremonies, what i understood this for new ones, but current ones will be cancelled?
It doesn't say "new". Considering that if they are on strike, performing citizenship oaths would be breaking the strike and that isn't allowed. If I had an oath ceremony scheduled for when they are on strike, I would assume it would be postponed until after the strike is concluded.

Got this reply from thr office

Hello,

At this time, we cannot provide you an update that there will be a strike. We will communicate with you via email if the Ceremony will be cancelled due to the strike

Mississauga or SCR office?

Which office?
How did they inform them? Is it through the time of oath itself or earlier through email?

not sure email address has SK and MB in it. they informed us on the zoom call. Also got an email few mins ago.

So, good people of this forum:
There IS going to be a strike starting at 0001 EDT Apr 19, 2023 as they haven't reached a collective bargaining agreement with the Federal Gov
Does this mean all Oath ceremonies even if on Apr 19 will be cancelled?
