Are they cancelling all ceremonies or only the ones that were in person?
Looks like all.Are they cancelling all ceremonies or only the ones that were in person?
I just hope this strike doesn't last more than a week, my oath is up for may 8th. Hopefully everything is resolved before then, fingers crossed.Looks like all.
Don't know how they will handle all the cancelled Oaths. Move everything by a week or move them to the end of the queue. Both are injustices to the applicants. More this goes on, more problem it will create for everyone.I just hope this strike doesn't last more than a week, my oath is up for may 8th. Hopefully everything is resolved before then, fingers crossed.
Source? I'm pretty sure it won't last more than a week or 2.All ceremony cancel
Strike to middle of June
They have a strike pay. If you participate in strike activity then you get paid some money. Which is very little.just checking, the days when the workers are on strike, they don't get paid right? If so, the strike can't last that long
Yes, I was reading the same news. That can clear the backlog big time but then the Citizenship certificates will get all the backlog.I have a feeling that all those people waiting for oath will eventually moved to self-administered online oaths that can speed up processing given the situation created by strikes
They have updated on their website that it will be rescheduledHas anyone had a chance to call IRCC and ask what will happen to people whose oaths are scheduled for the upcoming days?
