Thank you trini777 and brianguyana!

I wish you both and everyone on this forum the very best and I hope you all get some news from POS soon!!!!!

Until then stay strong and keep positive. :)

trini777--As for posting the spreadsheet I have no idea how to post it....maybe you could just try copying and pasting unto the forum itself.

brianguyana--I was wondering if maybe you could try sending POS an email enquiring about your application? The link is posted on the embassy's website.

Thank you Can4Vincy and Spiritrac and Kedeisha!

My hubby is taking in his PP tom to the POS. I don't think I can get overly excited until he gets it back. You just never know with POS.

Here's to getting some good news today from POS!!!

Hello everyone,

This morning my mom dropped my hubby's PP at the embassy. She asked the guard when he would be getting it back and the guard told her it sometimes takes up to 2 mths (His PPR letter stated 2-4 wks).

It's reaallly quiet.....how's everyone?

Come on POS get moving! :)

i will send them a mail canada2010 thanks. the hard part is over for you so its just the wait now :)

Best of luck brianguyana.

Have a great wken everyone!

Hello All! I am obviously a newbie here but I've been reading practically everything I can find on several websites in order to get a better grasp on what to expect during this whole immigration process.

For a bit of background, I am sponsoring my husband who is from St. Vincent;
Application was received at CPC-Mississauga in February 2011
Sent to POS in March 2011
Interview Req in July 2011 (scheduled for Sept 2011)

My concern now is that POS is requesting a criminal record search again (because the original is expired now); but, my hubby isn't in Vincy anymore. He is in another country staying with his family and will remain there for the rest of the application period. Unfortunately, his sister recently went to Vincy and tried to request the criminal on his behalf, but was told she needed a set of fingerprints from my hubby, along with what she already has. That he didn't do.

If we are unable to obtain the criminal record search before the interview date, would it be advisable to bring a criminal search from the country he is in right now in its place and just explain why we couldn't get one from St Vincent? Or should we attempt to move heaven and earth to ensure we have exactly what they've requested?

Welcome CandyB!

In Section 13 of the Information guide for the Caribbean it states:

POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES
Police certificates or clearances (antecedentes penales) from each country in which you and every
one in your family aged 18 years or over have resided six months or more since reaching 18 years
of age. You must attach the original police document(s). Please consult our website at:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp for specific and up-to-date
information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.

I found this info here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3909e.pdf

I think your hubby will have to def get the police clearance from St. Vincent and he will prob have to get one for the country he is residing in if he has been there for 6 mths.

I hope this is helpful...best of luck.

Welcome CandyB...definately get the check from St.Vincent. My husband is also from there and weve already done all that and the whole interview process. On the last step of a medical redo and hope were good to go. Wish you all the best!!

Hi Candy,

I would suggest that he have all the documents as requested brought to the interview. If not, it will just delay your processing as they will request it again (if he is successful at the interview) thus throwing you back several more weeks. I would walk with one from both St. Vincent and the new country if he has been living there for over 6 months.

well....a year ago today i married the love of my life.....really sad we cant spend our first anniversary together but hopefully we will have many more and this time will be a vacant memory of what made our relationship strong
