here!! here !! Confused I am in total agreement. I am waiting to hear from them if my son's immunization records would suffice in lieu of an old birth certificate closer to when he was born as requested by them since we cant find an old birth certificate or if they prefer a DNA test

@ spiritrac, are you only sponsoring your son or is he being sponsored as a dependent to the principal applicant?

The magic and wonders these IOs put us through is sometime unbelievable.

Sponsoring my wife and Son, he is in Barbados and my spouse and and I are in the USA I travel between the 3 countries Barbados, USA and Canada but resides generally in Canada.

The VO's I guess sees they roles as law enforcement officers and tries to make sure that each applicant is honest and not shady. I wanted to my son to finish school in Barbados and complete his degree, had not planned originally to move back to Canada since I have dual citizenship but wanted to give my son the opportunity and spouse wanted to leave the USA and move to Canada so, here we are Her status says in process they asked us a month ago to pay the rprf which we did it was confirmed by buffalo so we are waiting PPR for her but POS keeps asking for more info we believe we have satisfied they request. As I stated before they had asked for an original birth certificate closer to when he was born rather than the one we had sent with the sponsorship which was more recent and of course we did not have an old original one so we sent his child health record which have all the info they needed parents names birth date where he was born etc now we wait to see what they will come back with.

I am a bit confused how they are processing the same application at two different visa posts. Doesn't this make things more complicated?

God forbids this but what if Buffalo approves your wife's application and your son's still left in limbo? Can they approve one and reject the other? I thought if one person doesn't meet the definition of family class in the application, the entire application gets refused? I guess you have some little magic you are working with

I am working with an attorney its treated as two seperate sponsorships

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband got his AOR yesterday in the mail. It was dated 20th of July and it stated that they received his PR app on the 6th of May.

Woopeee. POS is moving, im so happy for you!!! Lol I was just looking at the Jamaica thread and they are getting passport requests left right and centre. It about time someone here got some updated news.Good luck to you, i know in the letter they should have to you to include addition info that may be helpfull. If you think your case is strong dont send anything. For me ill be sending additional. Anyway congratulations and good luck!!!!!

I don't think I'll be sending anything....I sent quite alot when I intially sent in our application.

@ access1. Since it is register post that have to do with canada post and there is a backlog so the mail will take a bit longer. Your wife can call the CIC office and give them her client number and ask them if they receive it or not. Also for register post mail there is a tracking number she can do to canada post website and track it to see where its at. Good Luck..

@ Can4Vincy.. Wow that is a long time to be waiting. Did you ever try e-mailing them and ask them what is going on. I try contacting my mp and to this date i still hasnt heard back from them not even a phone call or -email say that they acknowledge my e-mail or voice-mail. Everyone in this forum was talking about CAIP notes, not sure if you want to order it. it just 5 dollars and i think you get it in a month time. Do not know too much about it, since I only knew about that on this forum. My husband had his interview June and the ending of june a decision has been made, dont know if becasue i send them an e-mail and fax outlining that the IO say that she would get back to him in a couple of weeks and since we have a child together saying it is hard to manage her with a full-time job. Plus on my mat leave we spend the year with him. Been married for two years and that is how long I start his sponsership. Anyways good luck to you and to everyone else.
