GT, maybe it's our luck for the most part.
In order for us to get correspondence from POS, my partner had to call the office directly and requested to speak with someone. MP, on the other hand gave top top information and somewhat lied, yes, they lied. I recall in the beginning of this year, we did and enquiry through the MP's office. Two weeks later, a response came back from the MP's office verbally, "we got a response from the POS office and it's been noted in the file that there is a request for the applicant's PP"
All excited and hyped that we will get that letter soon for PPR and ARC .... waited, waited, waited for months ... about 5 months after that enquiry through MPs Office I got my ARC request. When CAIPS came in April/May, there was no such note in the file for a PPR or anything regarding ARC request or nothing of that nature.
So ya, they are a bunch of lunatics that play the hippidy-dippidy roller coaster game with us.
In all honesty, if you want to get answers I strongly recommend calling that office and make a stink until the secretary puts you over to someone that works in the Immigration Department and can give you information. That is, the information you require and not the information they chose to pass down to you. It really is the most corrupt system I have ever come across especially seeing this is an international representation of the Government of Canada.
I say for those that have been waiting very long, we hire a boat, load up with food, proper survival necessities and set sailing North until we sight Canada. Only then will they accept our applications and grant us PR in the shortest record breaking time.
If you want to read an interesting post, please refer to the that says "Buffalo Office Immigration experience". It is regarding a gay couple (we are a gay couple too), 18 years apart, barely knew each other(met, courted and married in less than a year) and bang on, their interview was approved and granted PR on the same day of the interview.
O Canada, eh
