Oh my goodness that's insane! Did they give you an interview as well - or rejected without interview? How can they doubt you after living together for 4 years? Did they provide you with any rationale at all?

I find that really interesting - that you got a notice for next week, and we got a notice on February 10th - for MARCH 23rd. It makes me think that my husband is having a security interview. Either that or they are giving preference somehow? Like, why would we get 6 weeks' notice? I then saw so many people getting dates sooner than us! It doesn't seem fair - but again, maybe it's a different kind of interview or you guys have been waiting longer than us. We are at 17 months. I would totally get that you have been waiting longer.

I understand! Yes we have been waiting 20 months now and finally we have earned our interview so whether it’s late In March or early we’re still really thankful and grateful for it.

Congrats to everyone who got interview dates. Just so you guys know, my application got rejected after 18 months. The reason is that Trinidad don't believe that my relationship is genuine. My spouse and I are together for 5years and out out of the five years we live together for 4. We submitted all the evidence they asked for and yet still they came to that conclusion. However we are not going to appeal their decision. We are going to apply all over again. Which we think might be faster.

That is so messed up I’m so sorry for u guys! Gooodluck to u an I hope u guys really do get through this time when applying again. I can’t imagine that pain of having to be rejected and doubted when u yourself know it’s genuine smh... immigrations can be so difficult at times...
if u don’t mind me asking , did u guys attend an interview in Trinidad when this decision was made or did immigration just rejected u guys without an interview???

Yes I was interviewed back in October 2019. I answered all my questions to the best of my ability. However she kept stressing on my pass relationships. In her opinion she thinks 3 relationships in the pass 15 years is a lot. She thinks that I got in and out of relationships just for papers.

Husband Is Canadian.

so I Just came out of my interview,I would say it was torture instead of a normal interview! Smh the woman that interviewed me in room 2 was very rude an unpleasant hence she took out all her anger on me while asking questions about my husband, and when I answer her questions some of which she refuses to believe an saying she don’t believe some of my answers.
She ask me about his childhood,siblings, school, favourite sports team, his job, salary, family, why did we got marry, how did we got marry, why was it kept in my country rather than his, if he supports me financially, if he has depths to pay off, his savings,plans for our future, why did I attend the interview alone, if I’m to get refuse if he will come live Guyana with me an leave his country,what do we chat about when we’re apart, our honeymoon, why he didn’t get a girlfriend/wife from his country rather than meeting me, etc etc I can go on an on! It was a freaking torture!!! Now we just have to wait to see whether we will get a refusal letter or passport request that’s what she said. Until she has finish putting the pieces together.! God be with us! Smh Goodluck to u Guys.
