Hey All - the other day I wrote to the TT office asking to extend our medicals (they expire on Sept 1) and if the interview could be waived. Here is their response. I am starting to suspect that my husband will have a security interview as they are very firm on it, and even though they told me to ask in July for the medicals extension, they didn't provide us with an extension yet.
Anyway, just thought I would share this here. My friend who is a citizen says he doesn't think anything will open up until well after the election, which is scheduled for August 12th. Sigh...

Your application is in queue to be scheduled for an interview, this interview cannot be waived. In addition, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the High Commission of Canada, Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago has reduced operations to essential services only with limited capacity on site.
We will contact you with a new interview date and time once we resume regular operations.
