Hey all,

I got some good news. After literally begging POS and letting them know why I need my husband here, they finally decided to return his pp. He's pp was returned today and it's on its way to him. It took 4 weeks (this week is 4 weeks), so he should be getting it next week and will land next week as well.

Yes its quite strange!! However i am literally having a MINI PANIC ATTACK:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:. I stopped checking ecas because it never updates and I checked it just now and it says DECISION MADE. I didn't receive an email or anything with regards to this decision whether it be good or bad. I haven't even received any update from the MP either and i'm not sure if the MP had anything to do with this. Should I wait this week and see if they contact me?

Call the MP office, it is weird that it is taking them that long to connect with you since my MP office had everything done within a day or two. Also, I dont think you will be hearing any negative news because requesting the passport means no interview and they will be issuing the Confirmation of PR.

Sorry, I am late with responding was preparing for a Trial :(

Also ecas is not so efficient and reliable.

Sorry I should've said "stop over" in toronto, because I'll be spending a week before my onward travel. I'm not sure if you're aware, but after becoming a landed immigrant, your PR card is necessary for boarding any commercial transport entering Canada (airline, bus, ship etc) for verification of ur status. Because my PR card is unlikely to be ready after 1 week, I will have no official travel document indicating my status for my return journey through toronto. And COPR is not accepted. I've read that you can apply for a PRTD (travel document) outside of Canada at Canadian embassies, but I will not be able to do so on this trip based on my itinerary and the location of the embassy. As such, I just wanted to know if after the issuance of your PR/immigrant visa, your visitors visa becomes void. If not I could delay my landing and enter as a visitor on this trip, and complete my landing later on.

You are correct, after becoming PR you will need your PR card for boarding and it could take up to a month or more for you to receive the actual card. I would recommend you ask for the extension and then submit your passport after your trips for them to issue your confirmation of PR.

Hope everything is well on your end! Got worried when the group got quiet for a few days lol. Turns out the MP didn't do anything. PSPAN did email me last week and they stated that they are ready to return our documents (so that's a relief) however they need more passport pictures. Which was sent in and received this morning. I had sent in 6 originally with the app and they requested more when we sent in the passport so I sent all 8 and now they asked for 2 more. Any idea how many pictures are actually needed?

LOL, Yeah I was super busy at work and didnt get to check or update my status here. Well what happens it that they need a picture that is more recent...normally with one year life too that is why they requested the updated pictures.

So, my husband and I finally got everything together, we are just waiting for the PC for Guyana, after receiving same we will send everything in by August 4. I am actually at ease now and not as stressed as before.

I am very happy for you misscoco16 at least your family can now be together.

All the best, let us know how the landing goes. :)

Thank you for sharing!!! I am waiting for MR. I am QSW category though, my file was transferred in May (Applied in January) AOR 2 on May 8th, no word since.
So am waiting.....
I noticed from similar posts that this office takes on an average 3-4 months after AOR 2 before MR is requested. Hope this holds true for my case. I agree with you though, I am not going to email or call unless absolutely necessary...
All the best to you in your landing and settling in.

Has anyone ever submitted a document request to POS from Canada?

I've received PPR and I've been instructed to include pre-paid courier envelope/airway bill for passport return. Has anyone ever submitted document request to POS from Canada? I would appreciate some guidance on the recommended way to handle this to avoid any delays.

1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2-a. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered Principle Applicant's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit space bar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected Principle Applicant's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my husband, no dependents.

Again, for 2-a, I selected Family Name, Given Name, Birthday (This is Principal Applicant's (PA) info).

On no. 6, I entered '2'

Follow this step see if it helps.
