Our file got updated to on e-cas but the strangest thing too, it said "INTERVIEW JANUARY 12 2011"... when clearly we never got one and they only requested his passport......

What the hell?

Just giving a little update on my application. Sometime yesterday ecas updated my status to 'Applicaiton Revieced' late September...it also went on to say 'Medical results have been received'.

From reading other posts seems as though they did a major updating on clients applications.

CDNGirl don't make anything out of it, prob they made a mistake in the updating or either they had scheduled an interview and after looking over your files figured they did not anymore. But either way congrats bec once they request for PP its always a good sign.. I can't wait for the day when I will be at that stage too :)

passport was dropped on the 4th. Today is the 21st. So roughly 2.5 weeks. And yes I GOT IT!!!!!
and all my documents back too...pictures, cards, all the evidences. wow.

Honeybird,
so happy for you!!! Have you decided on your departure date? My wife received her passport
back in the second week of January, but she has a few loose ends to tie up before she comes. I will be finalizing
her ticket tomorrow, as she have given me a conclusive date of Feb 25th. You see, all that worrying you did,
but we all had some concerns one time or the other. Glad that things worked out well and in a timely manner.

Has anyone ever heard about getting a date to pickup the passport and it wasnt there? or getting a letter that wasnt exactly for them?...

Hubby is wanting to resign from work since he has to work out 1 month with his company. and that way he can spend time with his family and than come, but he's fearing the "what ifs"

hello forum family,

Well I just thought i would share the latest information, which i hope will help the newcomers on board here....

So i advised everyone last week, that after only 3 weeks of my application for sponsoring my husband left for mississauga for Trinidad, i ended up receiving my "AOR", which i'm told is very rare as it usually takes at least 2 months or more to receive.....so off to a good start there with all fingers and toes crossed.

So all i've been doing since receiving that letter is going into ECAS to look for updates, BUT i have been using the B file number that my hubby received and putting in his information and much to my dismay nothing has been coming up. So i thought well i guess that must be normal.

However today, i decided to use my number that i was given and used my information (me being the SPONSOR) and sure enough there was an update. Very minor update, but it just showed that the application was received at the Port of Spain office on December 29th, 2010 and that they also received the Medical......nothing else was mentioned.

Anyway, thought i would share this.

Have a great day everyone....

Oh I am leaving on the 16th! I resigned the same day i got my letter to drop my passport so my last day of work was last friday. Today I am totally moved out of my apartment. :) Sold almost everything and gave away some. Just now to get rid of the clothes!!!! (very very hard). the 25th is good, i know the tickets at that time are 1500, i was looking at it, but my hubby was insistent that i come up next week. So i had to compromise. And luckily my dad's 65th birthday is on the 12th so I had a good excuse to stay until then. Time for beach, family and party! (God I wish i could of been here for Carnival!)

Oh and the Ecas tracker i signed up for works! i got my update yesterday. So my ecas is finally working.

It would seem the Caribbean offices are finally using eCAS properly! We had a bunch of updates over in KG, 8 persons had eCAS updated to "Medical Results Received" yesterday! Very happy that we here in the Caribbean are now getting some proper service from the Canadian Embassies.

Honeybird, happy landings! Same to your wife, ManCrab :)

lol. but they would make people so much more easy in mind if they just update as they go along and not wait to the very end.
i was freaking out.

Yes they update but they should have put in the right info for some.. like me.. lol.
I'm still thinking about the interview part which we didnt have but instead a request for passport...

My husband got a letter last month dated Dec 15 saying they recieved his application. The site was updated this week and it says the application is in process, they started working on it on Jan 4, 2011, and the medicals have been recieved.

So, I just have a question: if there is an error in your paper work at what point in the process will they notify you? will they send a letter or will they just mail it back to you?

If there was an error in your paperwork that required that the application be returned to you, it would not have been forwarded to POS. The fact that you have been approved to sponsor and the application sent to POS means that the application was acceptable with no MAJOR errors. Minor ones may require clarification, in which case they will communicate with you and give you a time period in which to bring any documents required or schedule an interview.

Thanks for the info ;D; well i'm hoping things will go thru soon

if you think you made an error, thats very noticeable...is that what you are worried about?
well, there were a couple of errors on mine..spelling, putting some info that conflicted with events and not putting some info that we should of put. but it went through fine...it was just plain human errors...and unless its glaring...the IO will probably skim over it. No worries.

I have a question. On ecas my application status was 'not available' and last week it was updated to 'Application Recieved'. Is this normal? and what is the next status update i should expect?
