and all my documents back too...pictures, cards, all the evidences. wow.

God is good!

Hubby will take his in on Monday.

Hello everyone and happy friday!!!

I urgently need some advice. :):)

as you can see from my stats, my file was transferred to POS on December 20, 2010. My husbands mom just called me and said that beautiful brown envelope arrived today. It was the AOR stating they had received the application on January 4th, 2011 and other jargen...standard letter. So i'm not sure if i'm being to optimistic but 3 weeks to receive an AOR is good new right??

Anyway, the top of the letter had two numbers - an F number followed by 9digits and a B number followed by 9 digits..........can someone PLEASE tell me which number i use and how to go about entering it on ECAS? Do i put my information in (me being the sponsor) using that number OR do i put my hubby's information in using that number??

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!!!! :):):)

Cruises, I do believe you are supposed to enter the applicant's information with the B file number to check eCAS. Wow, AOR in 3 weeks! Some folks going through KG are just getting AOR for applications received in May and June 2010 :P

thanks Charlie! That's what i thought, but i just wanted to be sure.

I know i was shocked too. I hope that's a good sign of things to come :)

cruises...
it took i think 1.5 months for me to get AOR
and i was never able to log on to ECAS EVER and I am done with the process..just to land.
so don't freak out about not hearing anything from the Embassy.

Good Morning Forum Family,

Well today is the day My Husband will be taking in his passport to GEO @ The Canadian Embassy to fwd down to POS.

Hope all goes well, we're one step closer to finaling this hard chapter in our book of life.

He wants me to accompany him there, is there any special kind of dresscode anyone is aware of? Can you wear jeans and armless there? ..

Thanks for your time. PS, do they give you a date for which you go and collect back your passport? Sorry with all the questions, I'll keep you guys posted how it went.

Well the times i went to the POS embassy, i only dealt with the Security Guard.

Basically he asks whats your business at the embassy and if its simply e.g. to drop in a form/passport he will take it from you or tell you to put it in the drop box.

No you dont see the Immigration Officers, just maybe frontline staff.

On all occasions I went though, I had on working clothes as I was passing in from my office, but I noticed that no one went in shorts or slippers, people were pretty dressed up e.g. nice soft pants, covering top. I guess they want to be presentable even though they will not be seeing an Immigration Officer.

Mancrab indicated that when his wife dropped in her passport they asked for a contact number to pick up the passport. I had mine couriered but they called when they were ready for me to pick it up (i did email my contact info but they never replied but my hubby pointed out that they would have the contact info on the file so i was worried about something very silly)

Great, thanks girl for the quick response.

Unstopable here......

And I must say CIC is really testing my unstopable character. Since July 2010 my spouse filed for appealed since our application submitted on June 2009 was refused. To date no reply yet from IAD. I emailed our lawyer in Canada in Jan and I was told that it takes 20 months to get an appeal date... God what a time in our lives................. Still hanging on and keeping the faith. But for those out there who is going through sponsorship and/or appeals we know the strain this process puts on a marrage and a couple as a whole.

Hope POS gets their act together or else innocent people have to suffer all the time!! ???

Alright, so we just got in from submitting the passport and they gave Hubby a date in the 2nd week of February to pick up passport!! ;D

He's planning to resign from work upon receiving the visa.
