So passport is in Port of Spain for a month now. Didn't hear back anything about it. I'm scarce and worried why its taking so long. This process is so depressing. Is this good or bad?????

I totally understand the feeling. Do not worry, they just do final checks etc before issuing the visa, some people have had their passports returned after 6 weeks as well. Just continue to check your return airway bill, besides, you are not missing anything

HI All! Just checking on the boards... hang in there for those waiting.

My application was delayed and out of curiosity I obtained the notes from the application. There was no reason, we passed eligibility and they were never in doubt about our relationship.

The wait is hard but don't panic and think the worst, sometimes it's just their process that slows things down.

Hubby and I are spending our first Christmas together. It's been six months since he and the kids landed. Life has been overwhelming but awesome.

When it comes to the time for ppr from my husband is it better to mail it to vo or actually go to vo and hand it in person?

I email them this month, because I filed in October. They replied stating that it is still at its initial stage and will be sending the next steps to my husband. It's a waiting game

Are we the only 3 with a POS VO lol?
Just a question hope you don't mind me asking ... was your application straight forward or did you have any red flags? Also is your background check in process... if so how long has it been?

looks like it. i haven't heard anyone saying anything with regards to Port of Spain office...
Did you guys know we can request the GCMS notes? while waiting to hear back? might be a bit early for October Applicants tho.

I cant wait to get GCMS notes but it's only been a month lol (end of November Applicant). I was so impressed with Mississauga and how fast they got their work done let's hope and pray POS is up to the same speed. I'm not hearing anything from them after AOR2 and it's driving me crazy

Trust me, I know the feeling. My husband was here for the holiday and the day after he left, I emailed POS VO and they replied the very next day saying that his papers are at the very initial stage and they will send it the next steps....lol like the next steps can follow three to four months later...ugh... I wish it was a bit faster.

100% Mississauga was faster... October Applicants who are with Ottawa office are hearing back regarding background check...So, it's all about who ur officer is and the VO office.

My case is complicated. We got married months after dating and moving in together. My wife first tried an inland sponsorship application which got messed up and I was sent home. Now after months of thinking if its worth it or if we should give up and save ourselves the headache and stress and money case this sponsorship thing ain't cheap lol my wife and I decided we want our family together and were willing to try yet again.
I know now from reading experiences on here that's it won't be easy especially on our case but we are fighting again.

All the best...I fingers cross everything goes well this time around. Can you not request the notes and try to fix whatever when wrong??? my worst nightmare is my husband not getting accepted. But, that will only mean I will just have to move back there. But, I don't want to think like that for now. We submitted our initial conversation from 2009, FB, Yahoo, Whatapp. I also asked a few people who know about our relationship to write a statement. I also submitted my itinerary showing I went back three times a year.

Finally pp was returned with visa. Now its time to do my landing. Since I'm already living in Canada and advice as to where i have to go to do the landing.

depends...most ppl go to Scarborough Town Centre. i.e if you live in Toronto.
