that is not an issue. If you have a job then you don't need it.

I sent my hubby a few hundred dollars here and there after the application was submitted because we knew we would have an interview. At the interview we produced the receipts of money sent to him. Although, I don't think they Immigration Officer looked at it.

Hey you guys, random question, I was reading up alot that people also handed in things like western union receipts and stuff to show that their sponsor gives financial support, we don't have any of those as I have always been employed, is that going to be a problem?

I would tend to agree with this statement. My husband had an interview for an hour and a half and they did not want to interview me at all.
Consistency is the key. She was asking him the same questions about 5 times in 5 different ways and he did not waiver. We had 3 books of evidence of our relationship including 150 pages of facebook chat.

We were called back to the Embassy the next day and 2 days later he landed.

I could be wrong but I think sometimes they request an interview just to get to meet the person face to face to feel them out, who knows! Can you recall any of the questions that were asked? and did the woman tell you guys here name? BTW CONGRATS for you and your wife! all the best in your life ahead

She isn't required to go because they want to interview her and not you. I went to Trinidad to be there and no one spoke to me at all. Only him.
As long as she is available by phone if they have any questions that want to ask.

We had red flags - so we knew to expect an interview. If your case is standard you have nothing to worry about.

hmm im a bit concerned, if i get an interview my wife may not be able to attend because of her isolated location in canada, work etc and the length of time it takes her to get to trini... so if i show up for an interview alone, will that be bad?

I am going to guess that your file will be processed very quickly. 2 months to process the SA and then 2 months in POS (or even less).

good luck.

HI everyone!! After 5 months of collecting documents I am sending in our application tomorrow!!!!! I feel like a weight has been lifted but also anxious to start the waiting game.

I am applying for spouse sponsorship...outland

A little history...My husband and i got married in 2009...I lived with him in Trinidad from then till august 2015. In august i moved back to Canada to start the process. We have two kids aged 5 and 4. He has no criminal history and has never been in canada. I am working part time and staying with my parents until he comes. I sent in our chat logs, call logs, a photo timeline from 2008 till now with pictures of us and our kids and family. I sent Fb ,essages as well from friends who couldnt attend our wedding. I also sent in copies of our kids birth certificates. (our kids are Canadian through me they were both born in trinidad)...

I am hoping and praying we are reunited this year :)

Hi everyone, a very happy new year to all of you.

I'm new to this forum and would love some insight on my story. I am Vincentian and my husband is Canadian citizen born Guyanese. I went to Canada on a tourist visa in 2006 but I overstayed I left Canada in feb 2008 on my own. I then returned to Canada in may 2008. I met my husband in may 2012. I was on a removal order in November 2012. I left within the time given and checked in with immigration upon leaving Canada. my husband visited me in 2013. we got married in sept 2015 and he has visited me every month since then. he will be visiting me again in February. we sent in our application on 27 November but haven't herd anything from immigration as yet. how long does it take to get response from them. would I need an ARC and how long does that take?

Hi Godfit,

On the cic website is states it is 62 days to get Sponsorship Approval. Your application has only been in for 40 days. You can expect another 3 weeks before you husband finds out if he can sponsor you.

Chances are the visa office will interview you so just make sure that you are collecting proof of your relationship. I suspect the fact that you over stayed your visitors visa will raise a red flag for them. Just my thoughts from experience.

Good luck. You are just at the beginning of the process. :)

I thought when I called CIC yesterday, after I was told I could expect my AOR immediately, I would hear something soon. When I called today because I didn't get any AOR, I was told that if I didn't hear anything within another 60 days I could worry then.

I checked the November thread this afternoon and people who have applied after me have gotten their AOR. I think they have forgotten my application.

I don't know what to do at this point.

Hey everyone we have gotten AOR today!! anxious wifey you are next dont worry!!!!!

hi needhimback, yes I paid for my own airfair.

How long does an ARC take.

I wouldn't really worry about it. I actually never got my AOR until after I got SA.
I found out cic had apparently sent me AOR but neither myself or my hubby got anything.

At the time cic website said SA was taking 62 days. I got it in 55 days.

Cic won't tell you anything until you have passed the website wait times. All they have posted in 62 days for SA.

Did you check your junk email folder? Try not to worry.
