Hey hubby sent off his passport and they received it June 12. I just checked Ecas and it now changed to decision made. When you click the status to see more details and its says "A decision has been made. The office will contact you concerning this decision"

Is yours written the same because they make it sound like there is concerns the way they word it lol??

I would love to know the answer to this too also, as I was of the impression when u see DM and they actually request PP then seemingly it is a great indicator they requested PP to put visa in....Correct?

You know come to think about it the ecas system is updated slowly because if you click on decision made and it opens up more details then the bottom part of that page has underlined options to give you a better understanding. Click "application to sponsor outside of canada" and look where decision made is then beside it where it says Permanent Resident Status determined, under that it says "if your application is APPROVED, you will receive a letter from the visa office telling you what they need to finalize your application. Now thats the same letter they send to request the passport. So pretty much ecas update their system slower.

Now we can breathe ;D

Oh ok. I get it now. Seems you are well on ur way and I am elated for u and urs. I think I have a ways to go...I got a letter requesting Medical, Police certi, Landing fees payment and 2 Passport pics, but ecas is still saying "application received". I am told the fact that I got this letter requesting these particular docs can (not neccessarily must be the case) indicate they are finalizing, but also as I am now reading, finalizing is when I see "decision made" and/or "PR approved"....
So no breating a sigh of relief for me as yet....Bummer

Thank You for your blessings girl ;).. As i see your visa office is Jamaica (land of my birth :) ) I dont think it differs what the system may say since my visa office is POS. Also did you mean passport AND 2 pics?

Based on what I know, when they request Permanent resident fees it is usually at the end of your process as this fee is not mandatory in the beginning as the processing fee is. On the ecas system when it just says application receive it most likely talking about Canada and Jamaica as well. It usually turns to "in process" when you get your AOR from your visa office stating that it is now in process and they got the approval for you as a sponsor. Also on your ecas system should have 2 different statuses whether it is "decision made" (you being approved to sponsor) in the 1st one beside hubbys name and then another one (the visa office status which usually says in process) at the end.

Have you received the letter from KIN stating that they have reached the end of your application and they need certain documents to finalize it?

They have not requested Passport as yet, just 2 passport pics along with the other docs I mentioned. The letter didnt say they reached the end of processing, but it did state they needed docs to continue processing. My husband was approved as a sponsor back in April 2015, I didnt know about checking ecas at the time, but when I did find out I could check it May 2015 it has been saying "application received" since then. It is now also showing "medical received.

Hey ! Any progress ?

nothing! lol
I was wondering the same about you. :P ;D
From all the timelines it looks like the files actually go to POS like once a month. I figure our files are still in Mississauga and might get sent to POS this week - of course this is purely speculation.

Ahh nothing yet !
And oh really ? Once a month. Interesting lol.
Well I wrote on my calendar that on June 15th POS should receive my file.. so that's what it's going to be lol.
I believe in putting things out into the universe that way.

hopefully they are checking the files to make sure everything is in order.
I see that neither one of us has that they received our medicals...
I don't think Mississauga looked at any documentation - they just looked at SA and then sent to POS

I can't stand waiting.

Under the "Permanent residence residence application status" when i click it, it says that my husband's application was received and his medical results were received. It's been showing this status before I even got sponsorship approval.

As far as I know, once ECAS says "medical results received" it means that the file is with the POS office.

Really ? Even though this status was shown before SA ?

What did your ECAS say? Did it not say under sponsorship application (which is your portion) "Decision Made"? Then another section for your hubby (PR application) which says "Application received" and then within that it said "medical results received" etc? If that's what you saw before your SA was communicated to you then it means that you were already approved and that the file was transferred. Yes it is possible before SA was communicated to you that the file was transferred but no its not possible that it was transferred before decision made status on e-cas under sponsorship application. If you get what I'm saying.

What I noticed during my process was that the section for hubby was created the day I received communication of my SA, but the"medical results received" line showed up a few days after, so I assume that's when the file was actually transferred to POS.

Please let me know if that makes any sense. lol

They changed the process for sure this year. I don't think they've mastered it yet in terms of communication to the applicants and E-cas though lol

Before, Canada would do all the checking in terms of documents from both ends and would let you know before file is transferred if anything is missing. Now Mississauga just looks at the sponsor material (I guess that's how they have been able to speed up processing times) and then the VO in which ever country are to check PR applicant material and communicate with them if further documentation is needed. Makes the wait more nerve racking for sure.

No I understand what you're saying lol

My e-cas says "Decision made" under sponsorship approval.
Hubby's says "Application received" as of April 22nd along with his medical.

I do remember before I got approval on June 15th that it said this information because I've been checking the status every single day.

I know that once they receive it in POS, it will say "In Process" according to this table.
