Sponsor Approval is typically the easy part. 90% of sponsor are approved. I had to call the call centre to answers on my SA. I called June 4 and they had approved on June 1st. ;D
I am sure things will go well.

It is just all this waiting.

I am glad we have close time lines. I don't think there are a lot of people that actually go through POS.

Oh yeah, I'm not necessarily worried about the approval lol I just know things start moving after that part.

And you called in ? Is that because you didn't get a response within the given time frame ?

I'm glad we have close timelines also :D wishing you the best of luck.

Yes, I sat on pins and needles until cic updated their website on July 4th. I called at about 11am and went straight through the call centre. Got a wonderful agent who gave me all of the information including my client ID, all I had was my receipt and requested another email communication be sent to me as well - it was but it was sent on June 8th...
I think a lot of what happens gets updated on certain days. Thursday is normally a good day for checking for updates.

Taking my time here, Planning to purchase my ticket next week and get an early jump on the Dec ticket price, dont plan on packing much clothes since it will be winter time and what i have wont be of much use. Dont know if i should sell my car or keep it....while my wife just wants me there asap and to hell with GT.

After reading some post under the Job and immigration issues topics on this forum im having some anxiety, but very much excited even tho my expectations are some what tempered.

Dont know if i should walk with my life savings in my hands or pay to transfer it via WU or money gram or summing.

Also plan on having my degree evaluated before i land, just in case i need to go back to school or summing.

I hear you there. I can assure you. You will be better off here than in Guyana by far, bud. I won't lie, people do struggle here, but the struggle is not as bad considering how much assistance is available... once you're employed though ... life is by far easier. Relocating is a big thing though, that's why Canada gives you a while to leave.

Guyana certification isn't normally recognized here (sadly), but it depends on your field. So you may need to go back to school to get in the field you would like.

I always feel it's best to have a back up plan just in case... That's why I am prepared to move back to Guyana with hubby if ABSOLUTE necessary.

Anyhow, the hardest part is over... The sponsorship...

Also I can imagine how excited your wife is for you to be with her... But I trust that she will be happy once the ticket is booked.

Also.... Good news y'all! My husband got back his passport today! PR application status on e-cas has changed to "Decision Made"! I'm so happy! So so excited to be with my hubby. I pray that everyone who's waiting hears soon from POS with good news! Good luck to all!

Okay I see, I'm kind of nervous right now because it says 55 days and today will be 57 days.
I called yesterday and the agent I spoke to said how they are currently still working on applications received on April 15th, so I guess they are backed up.
But I'll definitely keep what you said in mind.

Thanks thanks! Hubby has fears just like you. So we're planning for him to come in November. I actually love Guyana a whole lot, but it's not practical to live there (especially with a little baby). I know people do it, but I know how many of them wish they could come this side for their children's sake. I have the option, so I have to do what's best for my child. I love here because of the basic human rights that we have access to. Health care, education, security. The weather not so much though.... lol. Anyhow, I wish you all the best with your planning. I trust things will work out for you when you reach here.

Hey !
Guess what I called in today and was told I got approval as of June 15th for sponsorship.
I realize depending on the agent you are talking to some will be of no help and some will be amazingly helpful like the lady i spoke to today.

Awesome news! Same as me! We are just a couple of week off for our time lines. CONGRATULATIONS!

I am just waiting to see how long it takes to get AOR from the POS Visa Office. From what I am seeing on the forum for POS it is between 2 - 4 weeks. Crossing my fingers!
:D :D

Thanks so much :D and I know we are basically just two weeks apart !
And ooh okay that's good to know, I'm here crossing mine too LOL.
I wish ECas would update in real time -_-

@canadianinlove and mrs.trini... I'm looking closely at your timeline to see if your timeline will be similar to mine (full process completed in 4 months). Hopefully that will be the case... I'm interested to see if POS is working on 2015 applications in a more effective manner... i.e., faster. Wish you both good luck!!
