I just want you to be prepared.
Knowing all this stuff makes me more vigilant about getting the phone bills and keeping all messages on email and facebook and just preparing.
I don't mean to scare you but I want you to understand the odds .
Personally I know you will not be rejected. This is because you amassed so much evidence I dont see how they can reject you.
AND just don't freeze up in the interview. Perhaps someone can do a mock interview with you before you go.
You know the questions that they will ask. So ask someone to ask them to you. Maybe your hubby or another friend and let them play the bad visa officer role.
Trust me role play will help you calm before the interview. Because by the time you actually do the interview you will be prepared and can deal with any a$$hole comments from the Visa Officer because you practiced. (I learnt this in counselling and i am an hr professional).
I am anxiously awaiting your interview cause I really want to know how these visa officers in Trinidad behave. Personally I felt sick this morning when I read the article. But it has made me more determined than ever and it is a good article for my hubby to read because he was off the believe that we should of only submitted 10 photos.
God girl, I read the article too. It's indeed daunting how these issues are published in the media for the public to become aware and yet nothing gets done.
I am very glad that you are learning something new about this whole CIC hoop-la as each day passes by and being kept determined to keep every bit of evidence to show the VO. One thing I didn't include in my evidence is FB msgs simply because we get into arguments and fights sometimes and let's just say the things we say to each other aren't the most pleasant of them all.
As per my emails, I just printed out a log. Don't want to print out every single conversation we had from January to now (that would probably take me into a packet of paper) via email because I think if I were the VO I would be very bored going through all those pages of emails. However, if they do ask I can always provide it to them. One thought that came to mind earlier this week was to print maybe one of the logs so the VO can get an idea of the things we talk about. Again, most of those emails include our thoughts and frustrations about CIC and how bad their service is :'(
I have had many practices with interview techniques but still I get nervous only for the first few minutes in the interview. I just had one this past Friday for a job opening. I kicked rass in it and I think they liked me a lot. Well, I guess if not only for my experience/s they liked me too for my Cdn accent *blushes*
We were stressing a lot about those immigration questions online but then we figured what else can the VO ask that is not in the application? I think they can only ask or have to stick within questions relating to the application. My partner and I are definitely going to do the mock interview thing over the phone. He works for compliance so he can get a bit serious when it comes to all the questioning. Trust me, we have done it once or twice before and he scared me off with the questions he asked and the pressure he put on me, making me stumble across answers to sort out the genuineness of the rship. We have to do more practice on that this week for sure. I am yet to study the long answer sections of our application package we've submitted to CIC.
In addition too, I have been through a lot of immigration officers back in Canada and from my experience, not all of them are that bad. Most of them are calm and understanding. Hopefully *crossing fingers tight* I get one of those nice IOs at my interview.
It all comes down to knowing what you have submitted to them and being able to explain any bit of evidence they ask about. I hope and pray that my interview is only about our sponsorship and not my immigration history back in Canada. I am still going to prepare for both aspects just in case they asked. My email though from POS only asked to bring evidence of my relationship with sponsor.
Well well well, we shall see, right? I have high doubts that the VOs at POS are aggressive and rude.
Keep building on those evidence Honey and everyone else. It will soon soon come to an end for all of us.
