Checked application status today and says decision made , they already asked my hubby to send his passport 2 weeks ago and we did, hope the waiting isn't much longer.

g24, so sorry you are enduring this wait. I know this part is torturous . When was the last time you called or e-mailed POS and what did they say?

It may be time to contact them again and let them know your e-cas still says in-process. Sometimes ecas is only updated after they do things, it all depends on the VO and the person working on your file. As we know CIC can make mistakes and you already know you are approved so keep contacting them and/or get the MP to call them directly. Blessings.

Thank you so much. He applied from Guyana. I was expecting a longer wait time to get his passport back but we sent it on the 22nd, visa issued on 29th.

well SarikaL if they can do if for you folks, then POS needs to get off their butts for guyanese24 too!! This is sometimes the dilemma of the forum.......joy ;D when a fellow member gets through yet for those still waiting........ they're wondering...what is the problem

I was fortunate that my husband and I only had to wait 8 months from start to finish but during my "waiting time" on this thread (and reading on the Kingston thread) there were always others waiting so much longer for no apparent reason. I think for most of us, the lack of communication is the worst. I mean ecas is hit and miss and CIC actually thinks it is a "client service system". As the group I went through with, used to pray.....c'mon POS!!! Blessings.

congratulations hon and hubby and I are happy for you. . I am now convinced that it really have nothing to do with POS but with the officer that's working your file. I guess ours is on an extended vacation

Thank you Guyanese24, I am really hoping you hear back something soon as well. It seems like there are no particular order on how they issue visas. Just keep praying and hoping for the best.

Hey all fedex was activated yesterday and we received passport today. I decided to check ecas but it still shows in progress. So check you tracking numbers all.. Thank you lord. Keepthe faith all I know Iit's easier said than done

YAY!!!!! Congratulations g24 ;D !!!! Let the fun begin and yes thank you Jesus. See ecas is not reliable but our Lord is . Also it seems like you still snuck in before the 8 weeks was up - so POS still seems pretty consistent then. So happy for you both and many blessings for your future together in Canada.
