Good luck with your exam Miss D! I can't keep with up with the thread lol. I saw FAD update abt weather and I'm thinking landing? Then it didn't add up with CdnandTrini comment lol. It's a good thing I can't keep up tho bc it shows everyone have some good news to update us with and that only means one thing, POS is awake and working LOL.

So hubby and I are gathering evidence at the moment and we have selected roughly about 122 pictures during our 3 yrs relationship. Is that too much/ too little? We don't want to overwhelm the VO nor fall short of providing substantial evidence to document for contioious relationship. We also plan to include the cards, Skype, Facebook, emails, whatsapp, gas recepits and all purchases made for me and call logs. Do you guys think its too much? Any idea on how we can organize the evidence? For the pictures, how to submit them? Print the actuall pictures or color print it on regular computer paper? Which is the best way?

I applied for police clearance and FBI clearance as well. I'm picking up the police clearance this week. The FBI request was received on the 22 of October ( i was able to track it throught the post office). I guess that has a long way more to go. I don't even want to start counting the day for that.

Better safe than sorry - I say send everything you mentioned. Here is the guide I used to organize ours:

Hi everyone! Just dropping by! Hope everyone is well.

Congrats Cdnandtrini! They will likely call hubby tomorrow for Tuesday pick up of PP. This is similar to what happened for us. Our addressed did not change until after he landed. I didn't think much about it. About 2 days after landing (more a little more) our ECAS changed to Complete and address changed.
I see your comment about wondering what to obsess over now that this process is hard! It's strange not being obsessed with this process and going days without checking my email. It's strange but a relief too! What day are you flying to Trinidad?

FAD happy you arrived safe. Enjoy your time! Hope the PP comes soon.

MissD good luck on the exam! Glad you are with hubby now, even though it isn't in Canada. Thanks for managing the spreadsheet and Cdnandtrini will do great!

MsRuby! Sounds like things are really coming together! With all the great advise you've received here, your file will be well put together.

Tomorrow is a new week... Hopefully more great news for everyone that hasn't heard anything!! And please dear Lord, bless the JA forum with some positive news for this week.

Hi behopeful, thanks for popining! It means a lot to the newbies like myself to not feel deserted as the seniors are graduating the forum and moving on. This forum is amazing! I'm very fortunate to have found it before submitting my application. Hope all is well on your end.

Welcome to the forum! Can I be nosey and ask why you applied as a conjugal partner instead of married or common-law? From what I've heard, conjugal is for people who absolutely cannot marry for reasons of persecution/immigration. I've never seen one of these cases on this thread, so just curious. :)

just to adjust something you is around 20 months the process but what i know cauz the site of CIC. they say 20 months they take to treat 80% of apply. Its not each apply take 20 months.

hi miss dominca!!!
the personn help me to do the file told me. cauz we not married and when we met its was news and we was not ready to married et commun law. we must to live together almost 1 or 2 years non stop and its was impossible cauz we just met and conjugal Partner was the best for our situation cauz they say its impossible to live together cauz the visa he need. we have the same situation than married or commun law but with distance...we don t want to married for paper after some months of relationships.... time pass and we organise that but not now its not a priority for us....hope i answer you well.....

You are right, but with immigration no one can tell until you pass through the process. The members here keep a spreadsheet that gives a little idea of processing time. However, processing time differs for each case. Some within. 6 months others 18+ months.

I don't mean to discourage you, but senior members have mention on this forum the best way to get thru this process is coming in to it thinking its 20 months long. You can only fall short. If that happens its always good! : )

Hi MsRuby, Miss D. gave you a great link; however, do not stress if your package does not look exactly like that. For sure, do the forms online as the bar codes speed up processing. Also if you can pay all the fees up front and online, do it, one less item to leave in POS hands for follow up. No staples, use paperclips.

You can do either with the photos, I had multiple sets of our wedding photos as I knew we would have to send one with our app. but for some prior years, I just did colour photocopies. Actually we did not even have a camera for the 1st 3 years of our relationship so I only submitted about 40-50 photos in total and it is important to label or write on the back, who is who.

I also created a word document with a selection of SKYPE messages and e-mails (copy and paste) some from every month we were together to show progression, and details of SKYPE call durations, which I highlighted. Because we have been together 6 years I thought including every single thing would make an unwieldy application (for them and us!!) and I said so in my explanation paragraph that I included at the beginning of the word document.

I did not include any phone bills as we have used calling cards for 6 years and they do not accept used calling cards anyway and most people dispose of them. Again I explained this in my application. I think the most important thing is to explain the rationale behind any decisions i.e., we did not honeymoon as we did not have the time or the funds and used that money on the medical and immigration fees!! :P Of course I had all of my travel documents from every trip, all receipts, all visa bills etc. but aside from the word document I did not include any additional pages and answered all questions in the space they provided on the application. Which is to say I was unusually succinct. Do not send original cards, if they want to see originals they will ask and you do not want to send keepsakes that you may or may not get back.

In my application I told them that I had 6 years worth of everything and I would send them more if they wanted. They obviously didn't though so that was great! Blessings.
