Guys,
I never used magicjack can someone explain to me how it works and if it works in Guyana?
Thanks
for the magic jack its very simple you would need the following

1.a smartphone
2. internet connection
3 if no smartfone then u go to an electronic store and buy the magic jack device ($40)
if you HAVE a smartphone no matter what country you are you download the magic jack appl install it and sign up for one yaer free service, you will be prompt for an amercian address or canadain address, if you goin with the amaerican address they will then prompt you to select a phone number for free, if you choose canadian address u will be prompt to pay $10 bucks for a phone numbr for 1 yrs subscription.(wouldnt make a differnce weather canad or america you still get to call for free)after u have selected your number you get a one year free subscription and u can call anyone in u.s or canada for free over the internet.

if you dnt have a smartfone then the same applies for above but this time you buy the device stick it either in your laptop or your wall electrical socket and follow instruction on the leaftlet.

with a smartfone you get mobility for long distance relationship its the best and cost effective thing to have. i rather use it with a smartphone casue when am on the raod i can pick up a wi-fi signal and call my spouse so easy. i hope this helps

I've never seen it done this way... But as long as they gave you the return envelope addressed back to you to put inside the other envelope, then you should be good. POS won't need to pay for it, that's all they care about. Good luck!

Good morning everyonee, hope you guys are having a good weekend
I have a question although the application has gone in already
Regarding the income..
I made literally nothing in 2012, 2011(part time) due to going back to school fulltime but prior I had a decent income. I'm working full time right now making decent being a new grad sucks so hard to get a job. I included mu option c printtout from 2009 onwards, a job letter from my current company, a explanation as to why inhad such a low income and copies of my nursing diploma with a copy of my current school schedule cause I'm upgrading and specializing. Do you guys think that's enough?

Hello KIAB, it sounds like you did a very thorough job of it and in my opinion it is enough. It is rare that a sponsor would be turned down in your circumstances. I am sure they factor into it that it will take them up to 20 months to process, so in that time your income will presumably increase. I do not think this will have any negative impact on you being approved as a sponsor :). At least the sponsorship approval (you) of the process is pretty quick now for most folks compared to the applicant processing (your hubby's) timeline. That is when the hard waiting will begin. So be prepared for that roller coaster ;D! Blessings.

hey everyone,

Its been a long time since I post but I have been writing everyone's comments. I was just wondering when send in phone bills(house and cell) and things do I have to highlight the calls on it or no??

Thanks

I did.. just because it might annoy someone to have to look through a million numbers to weed out which belong to you and hubby. However, use a light coloured highlighter (like yellow) or just underline the calls you want them to notice. The VO photocopies everything, in the event that you need to have an appeal, so dark highlighters when photocopied may block out the letters/numbers you're trying to show them!

There is no set income requirement to sponsor a spouse. You cannot be rejected as a sponsor for not having a lot of money. You are not allowed to be on welfare, however. Once the VO starts to process your application, he needs to see that you will have enough money to support yourself and your spouse, so that your spouse will not have to go on welfare (which is not allowed, and if he does, you will have to pay back). This is where the income "requirement" comes in. There is no set amount, but there have been a few cases where officers have not thought the sponsor could support him/herself and their spouse at the time and it weighed negatively on the outcome. However, right now, you're fine for sponsorship and, as you said, you're upgrading.. so this will look good to the officer later on that you're making efforts to improve your financial situation so that you and hubby won't need welfare.
