***Update on CAIPS/GMS Access to Information Requests****

Now you can access your case notes online. No longer will your spouse have to sign and fax, mail, scan documents.

To be eligible to make a request under the Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently present in Canada. (you don't need a lawyer). Only use the service if you needed, excessive inquiries clog the system and causes delays for those who really need it.

Access it here https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
Same 30 days processing.

hi guys, just be patient, its hard but as much as you are missing your loved ones, just try to understand the process, its busy for them its hard on them and they are doing their best, yourll process will happen as long as we all follow the rules. i read that one of the reason the process is so long is to put a certain strain on a relationship to see if through all of that, the relationship can still move on, trust me we go through that and yourll relationship will be very strong.

god bless every body and be patient it will happen.
well said..that is so true

This sounds like good news, a bit more efficient hopefully. Thanks for sharing the info. @ Dadzin. Hello to all other POS (and Kingston @Maddants!) brothers and sisters, hope and pray someone hears something good this week.

Awesome. Thanks for the udpate!

However, I tried to do it and I still need to scan and upload a copy of that form that gives me permission to order hubby's notes. Unless I did it wrong. Too bad I don't have a scanner... grrr.

But it's a cool option!
