MissD: how is residency treating you? Think you said you were doing OBS/GYN? I'm sure you are exhausted! Never a dull moment in that area! Have you got your hands on ECAS notes yet?

Hey!! Not a resident yet... Last year of medical school. But yes, currently doing ob-gyn :)

About 1.5 months or so when you account for visits.

Welcome to the POS (Port of Slow) forum! ;D You're definitely not alone! Always remember that every case is based on their individual merits. Some may process in 20+ months,
then some may process in 6 months. Don't try to analyse the difference between your wait and others as you'll only be left discombobulated :)

Welcome again! Smile nah! yes yes...yuh looking good :)

LOL @ Port of Slow! I like that

Question for Miss D. & others re: Port of Spain Office

MissDominica said:
The UCI number from your sponsor approval will not get you info on your POS application on e-cas. In order to sign into e-cas to see the POS part of your file (applicant) you need a client I.D. For the applicant (or file number). This can be found on your AOR from POS and you need to sign in with the applicants name/DOB etc. If you did not get an AOR from POS yet, you can't sign in. Some people never receive one but have called CIC to ask what their file number is so that they could sign in. Typical wait for AOR (from POS, IF one is sent) is 2 months.

Hi Miss D & other POS folks, I am hoping for some clarification on the above: When I received my sponsor approval it contained both a UCI and an application number. I can sign into e-cas with my info. and the UCI number for myself as sponsor only. I can also sign into e-cas on behalf of my hubby with the application number and his date of birth and see his results. Now when (or maybe I should say "if") we get an AOR from Port of Spain, does that mean we will get a 3rd file number? I have read some old posts on this thread and have seen several people refer to the applicant as getting a file number that starts with B. Any thoughts? Thanks and blessings to all.

Your AOR will contain a file number (mine started with F, although I have heard of the B ones as well) and a UCI (Client I.D.) for the applicant. The UCI you have now is just for the sponsor part of the application. Use the one you get with AOR to sign in to see progress on the applicant part (or no progress, as they are terrible at updating e-cas). My file number was the same listed on my sponsor approval and on my application AOR from POS. It didn't change. So I use the new UCI to sign into e-cas.

Good morning everyone!

How is everyone doing?
Just wanted to clarify a few things. I'm sending my husbands fingerprints that were done in Trinidad to the RCMP. I want the results to be sent to me in Canada so I'm attaching an letter from my husband saying send them to my attention. Does anyone have experience with this and do you think the RCMP will send me the results? As well, te instructions state 'for immigration be sure to put the high commission on the fingerprint form' The officer that took his prints didn't write it on the form. Should I write it on the form and just attach in a letter? I don't want them to be disregarded.
Final 2 questions... There is no processing fee for immigration, correct? Maybe Millslu you can just confirm this for me since you did yours a few months ago. I can't believe there isn't a fee so I want to be sure. And finally, Millslu do you rember how long it took to get your stuff back from them? It says 18 weeks processing. Was it this long or longer?

Thanks again everyone. Most of the questions are to put my mind at ease but I appreciate all your help!
