thanks halfmoon could you explain what it is for and why you up so late lol

A case specific inquiry/email is an option after you've been approved as a sponsor in communicating with the foreign visa office. You have the option of sending a general inquiry or a case specific (notify CIC of material changes, or sending additional docs pertaining to your application).
These options are indicated in your approval letter you'll receive once you've been approved as sponsor.

I was having a bit of fun on the Love or Opportunity thread and frankly addicted to you all.

My application was transferred to Kingston end of June. March is when we submitted it to Mississauga. So technically we are in our 7 months. Apparently 80% of cases are competed by 17 months for Kingston. I'm hoping soon because we've had enough of this wait.

I just pop in to the POS thread from time to time as I admire some very special ladies here. ;D

Congrats Miss D-A.

Did u attach proof of continuing contact? How soon can I send in mine? My file is in POS 1 month now and I am already going crazy...JAHHH

Hey fromadistance! How you doin?

I actually sent a package to POS with proof of continuing contact (Skype, Facebook, BBM convos, phone bills, etc) in December (after they had it for about a month). I sent it so early because people that applied a month before me were getting contact from POS so I was afraid if I left it too late that they would not get it before they processed my application. The caveat is, though, that I waited until I got an AOR from POS because I wanted to have the NEW file number so they could match my new package with my old one easily (I labelled the new one with our names, DOB, and the NEW file number from the AOR that is specifically for the POS office). Once I had that, I sent away. So it's not that it's too early to send proof, you are just better off having that file number (I would not say it's 100% necessary though, as they could probably match up your files using other info).
Also, for my case it was more important than most cases to send additional proof of continued communication because we applied common-law (which is based on living together) and then I had to move back to Canada to finish school and wait for hubby. So it's a lot harder to prove that you're still a common-law couple when one person moves away than it is to be a married couple. Married couples, I would generalize to say, do not have to send in as much continued relationship proof as common-law couples who moved apart during the process (only because common-law is BASED off of living together). So if you guys are married, you don't have to rush off and send new documents unless you feel like your first application was lacking some. Otherwise, many people suggest you just keep saving up the proofs in case you are called for an interview and show it then and not waste time sending it now. It's all up to you, of course, every person feels differently about their application and has to decide what to send or do based on that feeling. As for sending it through CSE, no I didn't. I sent it in a package. In order to send a CSE, you kind of need your AOR from POS with the new file/client ID number. And even then, you can only send 3.5MB of proof at a time by uploading it. People who have sent a lot of proof this way had to do it in several separate CSE's and that generally annoy's the VO's to get that kind of thing. If you have one or two single documents that are important to be added to your file (eg tax return or marriage certificate or something) that would be something to send through CSE (or if they request something they need to finalize your application and you can easily upload it to the CSE to save time, then that maybe too). But sending lots of update info through CSE is probably not wise. I would just wait and mail it once you have your new file number :)

Thanks Moonie and millslu for the ego boost! You guys are too kind ;D.
