Congrats to Inlimbo... Almost there! I can understand your frustration with CIC.

Our medicals were sent to Ottawa. When we had the medicals completed te MD said it was a recent change that the medicals were being sent to Ottawa. Don't know anything more about that though. Here's to hoping it won't be too much longer for your family!

Yep, mine too. Just remembered.

Yes mine shows medicals received since stage 1 approval. And that ever disappointing "Application Received" sigh.

did you send your medicals with your ORIGINAL application or at a later time?

i sent everything with the original application only thing that was missing was my daughters medical and in july they email me and told me i needed it so i had it done and sent for them and that when they sent my application to POS.

Well, considering they only mentioned that hers was missing, that would make me think they had yours already. And then you sent hers for them and they sent it to POS. So I would not worry. I'm sure it will update eventually when POS is working on your file. Sounds like they have them though. :)

Inlimbo2012,happy the interview went well.
I am really sorry about the medicals missing.Keep the faith
everything will work out just fine.

I know.. it's no fun. Let's hope for OUR turn in line ;)

hey @missdominica did u ever take a chance and look at the e-cas ..were it say application received and you click on application received then you go to application for inland or out of Canada...if you click it say what application received covers. it says once you receive you AOR basically you application is IN PROCESS and in process has three stages (1) AOR (2) VERIFICIATION OF DOC (3) INTERVIEW IF NECESSARY.

yeh am hoping my turn is next

Yeah, I've clicked on it before. I've clicked on every thing at some point or another trying to get information LOL. But sometimes people's Application Received link updates to "In Process" when they are working hard on the file and about to issue visa. Sometimes it stays as Application Received and it has been in process and you only know when you get your letter from POS for your visa... it varies... so e-cas is not always that helpful... but I check it every day anyway! lol

yes i realize that, its weird how they don't do much updating but at least you know that as soon as you get your AOR after that they should be working on it i guess they just don't have time to update and say IN PROCESS.

btw how is your husband doing so far?

Just wanted to stop in and wave at my neighbor friends!

Hope everyone is staying sane. Wishing you all the best in the coming weeks.

@inlimbo, really happy to hear the interview went well, very unfortunate about the meds issue. That makes absolutely no sense. If you look at the gcms notes, you see that entering medicals into the system is one of the first things they do, even before commencing other checks, so if they were missing, it would have been noticed long ago. Bottom line is POS treats us all like numbers on a page and nothing else. There is no regard for us as people whose lives are on hold pending this whole process. I have come to have very very little respect for them after the way they dealt with us.

Anyhoo..you've got to move on right? Send regular CSEs to check on the status of seeking out those medicals. I believe they are sent to Ottawa and the information is communicated to POS from there. Regarding the passport return, it takes about 2 weeks for most people (although they kept ours for 4 weeks with zero explanation). I do hope you are able to sort this out quickly and get your family back together!

@millslu, melabonita got her approval pending medicals because hers simply expired, they were already submitted with the initial application.
