Hello guys, so my MP called me today, she did speak with POS friday afternoon.
The good news is they are done with security check and into the background check...she told them s my maternaty leave ends in febuary and pushed them to be done with my file by then...she said they said they know about it and will do all they can to end it.
So thats good right?
Keep the fait guys but dont analyz too much, my ECASE has been saying all those thing, we received it on...started processing...medical received for more then a year now, i was so uptimistic when i first saw it and now realise that we never know...we can never tell how long but it always come!
MP also told me there has been a lot of cuts in immigration since march, in POS too, so my file might have been with an officer who has left and transfer to another who already had too many and that is why it is sooo long...makes sence no?
Anyway, hoping it will all be done before christmas!!!Have a great week all!!

Congrats Jerrynyc, I will update the s/s.
Also congrats to Melanitabonita on your movements, hope you are all finished real soon, you have been waiting long enough.

Hey everyone! Hope all is well and congrats to those who received updates!! Good to know that POS is moving!!!

I have a question for those of you that have used fedex to ship documents to POS. When I applied for a TRV, we used fedex to send the stuff to POS, so I do know it's possible. However, the POS address lists the city as POS or St. Clair. When I go onto the Fedex website to calculate costs of shipping from Canada to POS, neither St. Clair nor POS are listed as cities they ship to within TT. However, since POS is the capital and I have personally shipped there before, it must be possible.

Anyway, the reason I'm looking up the rates is because DHL costs 90 bux to send the extra proofs I'm sending from my home in Canada to POS. I wanted to calculate if fedex is cheaper, but can't get a rate cuz a city within TT is required in order to calculate...

Anyone know what to do? Halfmoon kindly suggested I scan and email the documents, but as I look at the stack (and I dont have a scanner), I think Im gonna have to bite the bullet and use a courier.

Any idea about how to figure out this fedex thing (short of calling them and lookign like an idiot lol)

Hello everyone!

Just checking in cause I wasnt receiving any email notifications...to my surprise..I have missed soo much!!! Congrats to everyone who has heard something! Ecas only changed once for me. It went from Application received to the date of my interview. Thats it! It still doesnt have medicals received and all that jazz.

Miss Dominica: I find when shipping within the Caribbean DHL is usually $10-20 usd cheaper than fedex. I always went with DHL cause time and time again..it was cheaper. I would just bite the bullet and ship it off. Whats 90 bucks when you have residency ;) If it means you will get residency faster..then I would do it.

Question: When POS requests your passport, what is the timeframe normally before they send it back?

@MissDominica
Just pick up a form and fill it out .
My husband paid 56.90 from USA.

with fedex or DHL?
If fedex, I might choose them over DHL.

@inlimbo, I agree that DHL is cheaper when shipping WITHIN caribbean, but I have to ship from Canada to POS this time.. and I can't find the POS or St Clair city to compare prices.. But thank u! HOpefully it all gets figured out within the next day or so!

Sleep tight all!

@Miss Dominica he used FedEx

goodnight

Hello Everyone,

Hoping all is well.

Congrats @Jerry. Time to get that Passport back!!!! Lol :D

@Zouk Your hubby is settling in smoothly. Love it!!!!

@Melanita You're in my prayers....I'm hoping POS really put their best foot forward and issue those pprs......quickly. I'm happy you got feedback from your MP.

FYI: For the same service, DHL is cheaper.

Blessings everyone....Good Night.
