@ fromadistance no I did not send my medicals together with my application and yes Cpp Ottawa was the one who requested for the medicals. my medicals was sent ottawa.

That's why you just got notification that your medical results were received.. because they were sent late and not with the original application. In this case, the update literally means they got your medicals finally... not that they are working on your file. Most people don't get a late "medicals received" notification because they sent their medicals with their original application to prevent delays. You are still waiting for them to begin working on your application. Good luck.

Hello Forum,my hubby is here in canada visiting me,
now he's to leave to go home,because he has an interview
very soon in pos.He needs to get a new police certificate
because 1 yr will be pass,and it will take 2 weeks to get the new
one.I will joining him in barbados very soon so i will be able
travel to pos with him.This will be the 10 times my hubby
came to visit.

medicals received status used to "sometimes" mean that you were close to the end.. however, not anymore. For example, I sent my medicals with my application like I was supposed to and as soon as I got sponsorship approval (stage 1) BEFORE my visa office even GOT my application, my status said medicals received. I'm just trying to let you know that this does not mean approval.. especially if you sent them late and they just got them recently. That's all. Good luck, but I think you have a bit of a wait left. They probably did not work on your application at all because they did not have medicals and now that they do, you will get put back in line to be processed.

How do you know if CIC received your medical? I am curious because its not like I sent it in myself it was sent by the approved doctors office. Would mississauga have approved sponsorship without a medical? Ecas does not show medical received online so I started to worry that maybe they never received it! Just me being paranoid now

Right now I'm playing the guessing game as to if/when I will get an AOR from POS. Sigh. Oh what I would give to be one of those lucky few that get through in 5 or 6 months lol

Hey Half moon! Good to have you hear It definitley is quite at POS! I too am hoping for that 5 months My mom spoke to her neigbour in Canada who is an Immigration Judge and she said we probably wont hear anything before March but will be home for summer. I sure do hope so! I am trying to figure out if I should head back to Canada in February but I dont want to leave my husband and then it take another 8 months before I see him again! Decisions decisions. Its so difficult to plan things when you really have no clue what the timeline is (besides 15months).
