What sorts of emails have you sent to them? 11 months and not in process, there is usually a reason (e.g. Additional docs request, waiting on some other info). I got great advice here to send an email saying that you have gathered additional communication proof and would like to know if you should send it in based on the status of the file. Virtually every time we sent an email, we saw some movement, and then nothing in between. Not sure if it was coincidence or if pestering them is the only way to get things done. Keep at those CSEs until you get an answer. At this point, you are owed an explanation!

I can't think of a reason.....All fees were paid and solid relationship evidence submitted in the original application...they never asked for additional docs, in fact they never sent anything since AOR. Yes, I did take Smokie's advice and said we have additional proof, should we send....no reply. I sent a reminder that my Medical was about to expire.....no reply. I sent an email saying that their telephone message states that we should contact their office only if it has been more than 5 months since last hearing from them....no reply. Hubby sent an email that the GCMS notes show that the Eligibility Assessment is past due.....no reply.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks....OO and one more thing...is it only your Blood and Urine that gets tested? just asked soo can know my budget ahead of time...

@figlove2010.....as far as I remember, it is urine, blood, vision (nothing in depth), chest x-ray and the physical examination. In terms of budgeting, all DMPs should be able to tell you the preset cost when you call to book your appointment, so that you know ahead of time.

Finally got stage 1 approval today. August went soooo fast and almost everyone got approved before those of us on Aug 13th. But today was finally my turn!

My approval email came from OttPilot-Immigration... Is this normal? I thought it was supposed to be Mississauga not Ottawa? Maybe that's why it took longer? Does being approved by the "pilot" mean anything different for me/us in the future?

So beyond excited. Now to wait for POS to kick the excitement outta me for the next year

Love to hear from all of your about pilot if anyone knows anything about if its different or not. And if someone could update me in the spreadsheet, I'd be over-joyed!

Congrats girl!!!! So happy for you, I knew your day would come! Now here's to a speedy processing! Not sure what the pilot means. Our consultant told us like last summer that there was a pilot project where they would process the file in Ottawa and send instructions to the local VO to issue visa or call for interview if needed. I haven't heard anything about it since then though, so I'm not sure what the status on that is. Keep us posted if you find out any more about it!

My husband's doing great We've gotten his SIN and health card, he's delayed the job search just a bit as we're busy sprucing up our new home and preparing to move and having him around during the day is priceless. I am so angry with POS. My fiancee's brother from St. Vincent was to be his best man. The wedding is Nov. 10 and he has been trying since the new rules came in to get a visa. I even sent them a letter saying he was invited to come for 10 days and stay with us. Today he received news that his visa was rejected. Now we are worried that hubby won't get extension. We are applying inland right after wedding. :'(

Hey everyone....Thanks for all the help and advice..... im finally almost at the stage of fully completing my application formss...........however, (im pretty sure this has been asked many times) BUT does the country specific checklist go before all my forms like the immigration forms and require documents for Trinidad.? or does my immigration forms goes first then the check list, then the other documents they ask for from 7 - appendix C . and do we have to include the whole country specific checklist "booklet" with all the other forms? Ive been searching and i did find some useful information on how to put together my forms and documents, however, i would feel more comfortable to hear it from someone that has done it through POS..since its similar ...kinda :-\

We only included the immigration checklist with our submission. We of course referred to the country-specific one, but didn't include it. I'm not entirely clear on your question, but if you're asking what order they need to be sent in, it really doesn't matter. If you want to include both, just put them both at the top, after your cover letter.
