Hey everyone...Greetingss....hope all is well, congrats to all those that are in their final stages and those of you who have landed... At this moment im in a dilemma.. my hubby and i are planning to send our appli all in January...anyways, i was thinking if i should get my meds done next month of early december....i just dont want when it arrived in Trinidad, it has expired....soo when is best?

Your medicals are valid for one year, but given that POS averages about 7-10 months, it's good to do them as close to your submission date as possible. Doing them in Dec for a Jan submission is perfect. Best of luck with everything!

Hi Everyone

I see lots of Good news all around .
My husband got his pc on Friday and the passport has arrived in NY but they are taking their precious time to check it. When my husband asked them when can will it be ready . They said they are working on passports for people who applied in July and he has to wait for a letter from them to say it is ready .
So the letter for an extension has been sent along with the pc and will arrive in POS tomorrow .
The deadline was this Friday .
So now he has to wait until they decide to give him his passport.

Has anyone had any dealings with the Guyana consulate staff in the US?
Some people said they have to bribe to get it quick .

One of the very last people still waiting in August for Stage 1 sponsorship approval.. Rec'd application Aug 13.

BUUUUTTTTT the new update says now working on apps received August 13th!!!!! (For some reason the rest of August is done already, but whatever)...

Hopefully it's finally my turn!!!

nothing happening on my side, so i sent another email to POS, i had not sent one since june....last reply from them was in april...come on a little answer please POS....15 months waiting and my status says in process since october 2011!!!
Trying to keep the faith but its getting harder to do it!

Well folks another week has finished and nothing from POS........

My GMCS notes came, and there is absolutely nothing to show for my 11 months of waiting! They haven't even started processing my application as yet (up to the time the notes were prepared)!!!! It is as if it has just been sitting in no man's land all this time!
No answers or info on the phone and still no response to emails :
We are a pretty straightforward case....1st marriage for both, 1st sponsorship, 1st application, no children yet, lived together before application, submitted evidence of our relationship and continued efforts to stay in contact....but they haven't even looked at the file...STUPES!!!!
Again, congrats to all who have completed this process.
@Melanitabonita & @Fiera77axa, they have to get to our files someday....let's hope that it is sooner rather than any later.
@Loving Wife, continue to hang in there and keep the faith.
@Miss Dominica, so happy for you that they finally got to your date....hopefully it is smooth sailing from here.

Still praying and believing that they will process my application soon so that I can be approved and landed asap.

What sorts of emails have you sent to them? 11 months and not in process, there is usually a reason (e.g. Additional docs request, waiting on some other info). I got great advice here to send an email saying that you have gathered additional communication proof and would like to know if you should send it in based on the status of the file. Virtually every time we sent an email, we saw some movement, and then nothing in between. Not sure if it was coincidence or if pestering them is the only way to get things done. Keep at those CSEs until you get an answer. At this point, you are owed an explanation!

Finally got stage 1 approval today. August went soooo fast and almost everyone got approved before those of us on Aug 13th. But today was finally my turn!

My approval email came from OttPilot-Immigration... Is this normal? I thought it was supposed to be Mississauga not Ottawa? Maybe that's why it took longer? Does being approved by the "pilot" mean anything different for me/us in the future?

So beyond excited. Now to wait for POS to kick the excitement outta me for the next year

Love to hear from all of your about pilot if anyone knows anything about if its different or not. And if someone could update me in the spreadsheet, I'd be over-joyed!

Hope everyone is doing awesome. Zouk, how is hubby liking Canada.. its been a little while now!

I should mention that it says my application was forwarded to POS even though stage 1 was done through Pilot.. in case that makes a difference.
