Well hello all..just another small update. We received an email asking for the RPRF to be paid and new medicals for the children (they expired the end of last year)

I suppose its progress and was great to see from them that we are nearing finalization.

Hooray!! Want to see some speed from POS on closing your file out once these documents are in!

Quick question. On my checklist, I was asked to bring my passport as well, is that considered a ppr???

A run down of the things are pp *valid & expired*, birth certificate, marriage cert, hubbby's birth cert, education records and qualificatiions, add'l proof of our relationship *pics, cards, letters etc*, updated pcc for Grenada, proof of funds. I didn't submit call records, emails & cards etc but will print those online. There is no mention of a medical redo. I am about to email POS right now in ref to this.

Passports are requested for interviews for purposes of identification and they might also take copies to validate information given on the forms, especially if you have a travel history.

I got a response. It stated for me not to redo my medicals. The officer at the interview will instruct me on how to proceed.

Hey good day everyone, a quick question which is puzzling me...how do ya'll contact POS and get a response so quickly (well at least some of ya'll) what methods are you using? ???

POS doesn't always respond. In the past, my emails have gone unanswered. Only recently I have been getting correspondence from them. Today, I sent an urgent inquiry in regards to medical redo as I am scheduled for an interview next week Thursday. I'm surprised I got a quick response in about two hours.

Hey Everyone,

Been soooo sick all morning and I'm currently weak but making slow progress in the recovery stage.

Sorry Trini. What they (POS) had to determine was to see if you needed ARC. Well confused&scared was an ARC applicant for sure. Borderline can send him a msg. I'm not sure but after you wait out the year, can you return to CA without ARC?

Delon, I'm not sure about anyone. I would think no matter what you send, general or specific, POS receives them all. No need to scold yourself now. If it's an urgent matter, they will respond. If it's not, they may not.

My 2 year anniversary is Monday & my interview is Thursday. Hubby is coming tmw and I'm sick....Wowwwwwwwweeeeeee!!!! Not a good start to my weekend but I'm praying my upcoming week will be better.

Your best bet is to get married & start the immigration process to immigrate to CA permanently. POS is a slow office but some folks have had short waiting times & others (myself included) have had longer. For a visual feedback of our experience going through POS, the members of this forum have compiled a spreadsheet portraying our processing times through the POS office. The link is located at the end my post (signature box) so check it out.

Are you from a visa exempt country? The mere fact that you got deported will be considered when the papers are in. You will need an ARC. I'm not sure how long that takes but we do have a couple of ARC folks on here. ConfusednScared was one. Trini777 is also an ARC applicant.

Furthermore, I'm happy you did not lie to immigration in regards to your name change etc. It may have got you deported but you did not hurt yourself for future plans to immigrate to CA. Kudos to you

Thanks alot i've read alot of stories and i just hope everyone gets through, i'm from a country that doesn't require a visa. Also can some one give me a link too the application? Also do i have to pay the $400 up front or hen do i have to pay it?

Trini....thats great! I spent hours in the lawyers office today compiling the last requests from POS including RPRF. All is done and will be sent in tomorrow! Soooo excited.
