I know what you mean I have two kids as well and most of the things I have planned is for them with their daddy. They have been away from him since August so it's been hard on them.

It's good that he can stay home and use it to spend with your son that sounds like a great idea...get that bonding on

Yea its so hard for them to not see their kids. We haven't seen my husband since last year February. I was planning to go spend a week in Trinidad and have him meet us there next month but then I am thinking he will be back soon. Plus the additional documents they request and the processing fee for that is over $2000 so that means the Trinidad trip probably wont happen because they are both going to cost the same amount and I don't want to spend all of that right now. I rather spend some and go to a very nice place when he gets back.

Yea I am trying to make up for what he missed (not that I can ever make up for that) but I am still trying lol. I told him he can stay home with our son until he starts school and I will work and take care of them, I think that's the least I can do for my husband.

i had the exact same idea. he could stay home for a couple of months and i would work. i dont mind i think he would enjoy taking them to school. yea i was thinking to visit too but im thinking i shud just save so when he comes we can do more things

Absolutely, the more we save, the more we will be able to do once they get back here and the longer they will be able to stay home with the kiddies

You guys, let me tell you all this. I am now convinced that ecas is very, very unreliable or the persons at the VO are not very well connected. Can you guys remember when i emailed them on feb 9th to ask about my uci2? and they replied on the 11th saying that they have the file but processing hadn't started? Well when i checked ecas using my uci, they updated my mailing address and it clearly showed that they indeed started processing on the 26th and they sent me correspondence on the 29th of January, which i never received. sigh and this is 2016

When we see in process the expectation is that they are working on the file... but in process for them means it could be sitting in the queue nothing doing but it's in process because it's in a queue to be worked... so I would believe the email over ecas any day... it's more accurate of what is truly going on...

Hopefully we hear from them this month...

Finally some, or what little movement I see in my app after 22 days of being in POS

I now have a 3rd line - 3. Medical results have been received.

It might be a small step, and not the speed at which I want it to be - but it's a forward movement.

Woo hoo Progress!!

I really do hope they request your husband's passport soon.... summer is coming and it would be great for your son and husband to bond.

I think I am going to try plan a trip to the falls this summer.... Wanna do something fun as family!

I have a question to those who are seeing medical results have been recieved...was that line there before or not...I ask because ever since my aor when I checked ecas on the pr side I've always had two line 1 that they recieved the application on whatever date and 2nd that medical results have been recieved...and since my SA instead of applications recieved it says in process....does this mean anything at all or not. I'm just asking because I see some people didn't have the medical recieved line before
