Anxiouswifey - someone has to be the calm one. I have had to put on a brave face to my hubby because he worries a lot.
I pray everyday that everything will turn out fine. The red flags that we have are more because we got together so quickly.

It is good being on this forum and getting so much information from people who have been through similar experiences. Had he and I found this forum I think we would have done things a little differently so we didn't have red flags but that is life. We are trusting in God that everything happens for a reason. This process has made us stronger as a couple and strengthened our bond.

Mrs. Trini - My husband and stepkids are going to complete their medicals on Friday and I will make sure pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee upfront. Does your husband like it in Canada??

Canadianinlove - I will try not to stress too much. My husband is cool as cucumber, and I am think I am doing the stressing for both of us. I though our situation was complicated but I feel more and more calm reading other people's stories and seeing how they are handling things. I hope all goes well with your interview, you must be excited to be in the homestretch!

We have a ton of proof. 150 pages of facebook chat, phone records since April until now, 200 additional pictures, joint bank accounts (in Canada and Trinidad)
Just about everything.

Any thoughts on this...

My mom is here on a temporary visitors visa. Do you think it will have an impact on my application.

My own son lives with me permanently, and I am sponsoring my husband and two step sons.

Also, should I include her on the form IMM5481? I am responsible for her, but she has her own monies and such...

I am not sure but if she is only here as a visitor I don't see why you would have to include her in our application.

Yayy! I'm so happy for you both. Yes the interview can be nerve wracking, but it's a genuine relationship, so they'll see that. The important thing is that you're one step closer to being together on a permanent basis.

It shouldn't have an impact as she's not being sponsored. As she is on a visitor visa, I believe she's actually responsible for herself. She's not considered a financial dependant.

I really can't believe the year is almost over

Hubby is doing well

He saw hail for the first time over the weekend , he was so amazed lol.
And yes he is working thankfully !

No red flags and we met in person... Also we have a son together who I not too long gave birth to. So it was smooth sailing. Hope it goes the same for you as well!

Yes likewise - we meet in person in Canada.......been together for 4 years, but you never know with immigration
