In 2011 I applied to apply my parents (barely got the application done in time), and last week we got the letter saying they're ready to work on it, and we have 90 days to fill up all the forms, pay the fees, send pictures, police clearances, etc.
A bit about my family:
a. Sponsoring my parents, so the forms are being filled up ostensibly by my mom, but mostly by me.
b. I have 3 siblings, so there are 4 children in all, all above 30 years old.
c. 3 of these siblings are either PRs or citizens already and reside in Canada
d. 4th sibling has no interest in ever moving to Canada (not even sure he's eligible anyway)
Questions:
1. On IMM0008 on question 3, do I put 2 people, and then only have my Mom and my dad (her spouse) fill up their info?
2. On IMM5669 Schedule A/Background Declaration: whose info should go on there? It sounds like just my mom and dad.
3. On IMM5406 Additional Family information: what's required on the form is clear, but who fills it? My mom fills one up, and my dad fills one up?
Thanks for indulging me.
Final question, after this goes in, hopefully in a couple weeks when we finish these up and get the Option C printouts, what are some of the next milestones/timelines?

For those whose Spouse has already arrived in Canada ,
Do you know what type of questions Immigration asks ?
Thanks for the clarification. Can baby said:Hey Hun,
It's pretty standard as far as I know. So pretty much just ask, which address he'll be going to, if he has anything to declare, and a question or two about you (i.e., what's you're name). The landing doesn't take long. The main thing landed people are required to do is sign the final documentation to finalize the immigrating process.
Hope that helps.

I could imagine, but the important thing is for him to keep calm. It's going to be fine. The hardest part is already over.mrs.trini said:Thanks for the clarification.
Hubby's super nervous for so just trying to get some info to help him feel better.
20 More days !! <3 ;D

I'm so excited for you both. Can't wait to read your landing story when he arrives!

Just wanted to let you know. I'm still thinking of you and hubby and that you both are still in my prayers!

The embassy asked for my husband's passport on October 31. Today they emailed asking for us to get a criminal record check from Grenada. Sigh.
We lived there for five months straight, and he stayed there for three months at a time off and on over a couple years. Frustrated that they've decided that he NOW needs a criminal record check from there (and that our immigration specialist didn't recommend we get one). We've been packing and trying to find kennels to ship the animals and looking at flights... and now everything is stalled again!
I had thought they were done investigating us by the time they asked for his passport. Where is the crying emoticon? ''''''
Canadianinlove said:OH NO! That is what you didn't snag. At least you are still moving forward, it will just take a little longer.
I am really surprised that the immigration consultant didn't suggest this for you
Talk about frustrating. I hope you didn't spend too much money on them.
My hubby and I are using an immigration lawyer because we did not have the time to get all the documentation together and I was very worried that I would miss crossing a T or dotting an I. We have already spent a pretty penny.
Sending positive thoughts and prayers for you.
Do you know how long it will take to get a criminal record?
Keep us posted.
I am just sitting and waiting for our number to come up. I am sure our file is somewhere on someone's desk.
