I'm new here. Been reading for the last couple of hours. Congrats to all those who got through.
My husband is sponsoring me. Our application was submitted in December last.

So far his approval has been given for sponsorship since March 16. My application was then forward to POS.
They have acknowledge that on may 7 the started processing my application since April 30. No more updates. I'm so tense!!!! How long do the take to process someone's application!!! Like really!!!

Advise!!!

Im guessing a total of 6months it takes for some ppl, it varies tho, but yours look like its on track for the 6 months ride....they receive my app on Dec 4th 2014( that's in CANADA) and on May 6th 2015 i got my mail requesting my passport/pics and it stated by which date i need to arrive in Canada. i noticed my ECAS change to decision made like 4 days after i send my stuff in T&T office. been getting updates like every month or so via emails.


IM NOW WAITING FOR MY PASSPORT BACK ;D

Hi all am so happy thnaks for all your support well my wife had interview on may 4 2015 in pos i attend with her they ask her like 100 questions after she was done i ask if i can go in i ask them few question they ask me like 5 question which i answer very funny and was laffing was kinda funny question why i love my wife why i marry she and so i told i love to sex she she body nice haaa they ask if they refuse application what i go do i told be sad go back canada hire two lawyers and appeal and rejection decsion to court and if they dont want give her i will give up my candian citizenship and go live in Guyana with her well good new my wife and daughter get they visa and corp and will be coming on may 25 2015 am so happy no more lonley nite no need to pump anymore get pokie foa juk now lol cant wait haaaaaa

my process seems like the nightmare on elms street and I just can't wake from it, I reach the stage where I really don't care anymore and anything they wanna do with my file they can do with it, am tired of my hopes being let down every single day, so I say f**k it what ever happens happens, on may 19, I receive an email from them to redo me and my son medical, I notice since November 7 last year all that dumb ass immigration officer been doing is torturing my application and requesting docs from me single docs all the time, they request security cleaner again from here and Canada also didn't send the finger print forms for me to get fingerprint and send to Canada for rcmp checks, I had to email them for that, then after almost 3 god damn month they just requesting redo Medical, believe me am really tired of this sh*t and really don't care anymore

I did the medical they request on the 19 and went to get medical done and sent copy of conformation to them on the 29 of May, I know that asshole working on my file is giving me a hard time but I hope whoever it is having a good time torturing me n my family, have a good time, karma is a bitch and it will catch up with them, am going on 19 month this month whenever they decide to request the pps n return it I will update you all, for now am off to my I don't care corner again

I'm really sorry to hear that impatient girl. Have faith in God... These people are so lucky they have their family with them. They say it's there mission to unite families... And then take forever and tear them apart.

From what I've been reading from everyone else's progress, once they request the Passport they issue a visa.
I could be wrong though..

I sent mine in on April 21'st so I'm patiently waiting to see what happens !

its not normal to ask for an interview after passport request, but it is surely possible!!, go back couple posts and you can see this guy Ravi having to do an interview after sending his passport. they kept his passport for a while and after he inquire abt it, he was request to do an interview.

sorry to hear abt ur situation, long distance relationships are hard and the last thing you need is a long drawn out process....take refuge in knowing that the end is near....i think the total time for most app. at the POS office is abt 17 months according to the website.

Thank you! I'm excited to be with hubby. I don't think there will be an interview because they've already given him a date in which he has until to arrive in Canada. It's the Ravi guy's case that I read that has me wondering. Just gave birth to our son, so the sooner he comes the better for all of us. I think the minimum before you hear anything is 62 days from Canada. Once it reaches POS... It's a waiting game. But I'm sure you're bound to hear from them at the end of this month. Hopefully after that your time line will be similar to mine. Good luck!

Yeah that's what I read and that's why I was wondering... I didn't think it was normal for them to do that, but anything can happen with immigration I guess... :-X

Really really sorry to hear about your situation. It's really hard being far from your loved ones. Don't give up though, you'll get through. I know the process can be so frustrating, but patience is virtue... I'm sure you will be reunited with your loved one soon. So much has happened in the past (fraud, etc) and that's why the process is so rigorous now.... Sadly. Hope you get through soon!
