Ahhh - hubby is all set to fly out Sunday night in advance of his interview. Trying to maintain a reasonable level of sanity here. I'm doing ok for now b/c I'm at work and I'm fairly good at compartmentalizing but in about few hours when work is done, it may be a different story. We have everything ready that we were asked for and them some... TONS of proof, etc. I will keep you posted when I hear stuff... I'm not sure if this is going to be a blessing or a curse but my Monday at work is shaping up to be really busy when all I will really want to do is stare at my phone!

Hi Can-Vinc, prayers goes out for you both. From the sounds of it, seems like hubby is ready, set, go What is hubby state of mind?

Cupid will be sending hubby to you just in time for Valentine's Hope you have that champagne and chocolates ready and and umm "desert" I'm "somewhat" a hopeless romantic kinda gal ;D

Everything will be fine for you guys. I'm supper excited for Monday (this happens rarely!)

awwww - thank you so much everyone! I'm just patiently waiting. Hubby got to his appointment SO early so i'm waiting just like you all are . you all are just so amazing. he was doing good last night and this morning when we talked... so hopefully not much longer now.

Hubby is landing in march hes trying to lie his loose ends but I really just want to tie his neck and drag him here but I understand the business the house family issues i guess lol i was born in essequibo and he was born in wakenaam but now hes in tuschen near parika. Which part are you from?

Hi Everyone... finally an update... and it is not a great one. So apparently the VO gave hubby a really hard time about not having photos from the Christmas he came to visit me and my family on the east coast and she tried telling him that all of the photos that we do have are from after he left (impossible b/c some are from Niagara, parks and stuff here in TO with friends and everything). With regards to the Christmas photos, he was only there for a few days and my family is not a picture family... the couple of photos that we did take were stolen on my computer (yes we provided police reports). She basically said that she didn't feel we had enough proof of when we were together in Canada but that she would review all of the documentation and photos that he brought with a senior officer and get back to him/us in a month or so. I haven't had a chance to speak to him in detail yet b/c he is in transit and I know this is not an outright refusal but i don't feel confident anymore and we are devastated. Has anyone ever heard of an interview like this ending favorably? I just dont' understand how they can look at the 1-2 gaps (that aren't even really gaps, he explained them with proof in the police report) versus the overwhelming proof that we're in a genuine loving relationship? I just don't understand. This is a game to them, it would seem, and the game is to find people to make examples of and play God. We are really angry, sad and scared now.

LOL I can only imagine!! March wil be here soon but in your case it's forever! I know....I'm from East Bank Demerara (Craig to be exact). I only ventured off to Lethem. Hopefully one day ill take a trip to your neck of the woods : )

Are you going to bring hubby? Or he's travelling alone?

Sorry to hear things didn't go as well as hoped. It's amazing the things they often choose to make a big deal about! I wouldn't worry too much just yet though, as you said, it's not a refusal. If pictures are the only thing they have issue with, that surely shouldn't counter the entire application. Stay strong n positive until you have a reason not to. I have seen people get approved after not-so-great interviews, so don't worry too much!
