Hey quick question to all who got ppr on my letter it said my sponsor have to pay landing fee and they set a letter to.my wife two week prior. And i have to send the receipts proof of payment. My wife never received any letter like that. I ended up paying.for.it and.put.the.receipt.in.the.same.package. Any similar situation

It's odd that they didn't ask for this fee prior to PPR. I thought that was how it was done but yet another surprise from POS. This is the 490$ fee, right? When I first stated this process I recall reading somewhere that said the sponsor MUST pay this fee and I read it as being very clear the sponsor has to pay this. I can't seem to find this information anywhere so I can't say this is correct information. And I haven't really looked that hard either. Regardless, POS will let you know. My letter didn't indicate that this had to be paid because I, as the sponsor, paid all the fees upfront.
Doc.lady your letter may not say this if your fees were paid at the time of sending the application. You have the option to pay this near the end, however it can add time to processing because it takes time for this all to be updated through an office in Ottawa.

YeH the fees were like $400, $490 and $75 (think I am off with the numbers but aroun there). If you paid something like that, you won't owe anymore money. The 490$ was optional to pay upfront or during the process. I figured get everything out of the way right from the get go!

Thank guys for your input,but my letter did say that my sponsor have to pay it in advance and they sent her a letter with instructions but we never got that letter, so my wife paid the $490 anyways on the cic website. We did not pay it in advance as we were not sure of approval.

If they sent the letter to Canada it could take 3-4 weeks from the date the letter was printed until it's received. Easiest way to avoid all this is just to pay your fees upfront

Just checking in. I have a question (which will make my desperation even more obvious but oh well lol)

I ordered my notes a couple of weeks ago when everyone was hearing things and I wasn't hearing anything. I've always waited until I received my notes and then ordered them again after 30 days. However, where POS has been moving so fast lately, I'm wondering if I can order my notes AGAIN before I receive my first set? lol In case something else has happened on my file since I ordered them a couple of weeks ago?

Example:

Day 1: Ordered notes, due in 30 days
Day 15: Ordered A SECOND set of notes, due in 30 days

so I would have TWO requests in at the same time.. is that a problem? I wouldn't want to order a second set and have it somehow cancel my first request or over-ride it or something messed up like that.

I realize it seems silly, but I've been waiting FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and I'm holding onto some tidbit of hope that something has been happening. Just allow me to have this phase of craziness. lol

What do you think? Anyone know anyone who has ever gotten to this level or desperation and succeeded with ordering 2 sets of notes only a couple weeks apart? Thanks guys

ooooo easy missd I know you are frustrated and I don't blame you, but I think the question is a bit difficult and you are the most senior person here with a lot of knowledge. when we ordered our notes it took a very lon time, it took like more than 30 days to come but I cant answer that queston.

missd we are always here for you I know its not the same and I know it so frustrating I wish there was something we could all do to help your situation. be blessed and keep trusting in god the almighty.

I think they will honor your first Note request. And they may still honor your second request however, it may take some time as they may think its a mistake that your requesting notes again so quickly to the first request.

What I'm also mindful of is bombarding them with too many requests, as they always ask to keep correspondence to a minimum. So what you may encounter, is them not responding or they will respond by taking their time.

I was thinking that since so much time has passed, and your husband has yet to be requested an interview, to me, that's a good sign. I even wonder if his ppr request is on his way...because your application has been in process for sometime and I think his medicals are close to expiring so I'm sure an extension is being given.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, no, you know what, I'm praying for you, because I know your husbands ppr is coming!

Please don't get upset....we all want the best for you because we all know families need to be reunited!!

I was totally making a joke with the crickets thing and making light of the fact that I have been on here the longest and am still waiting lol. I was not actually angry or frustrated .. I even put a winky face at the end to make sure you guys knew I was teasin LOL.

But yeah, I was serious about sending the second note request LOL.

As for hubby, his medicals already expired and they never responded to say they were extended... so I dunno. And since I haven't heard anything, I'm not really sure what they're doing.
