morning to everyone, question, i am awaiting my response from POS concerning my ARC i was just wondering if am going to get a response by email or by snail mail,being that the last time they sent the interview letter was by snail mail.

a bit of bad news POS is gonna be closed from tomorrow, its gonna be a long weekend, both thursday and friday. sorry bout the bad news but keep the faith my forum friends.

The Office of the Prime is advising that both Thursday 30th May, 2013 and Friday 31st May, 2013 have been officially designated public holidays in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Public Holidays and Festivals Act Chapter 19:05 states that “where a public holiday falls on a Sunday or where two public holidays fall on the same day, the next following day that is not a public holiday shall be a public holiday”. Both Indian Arrival Day and the Christian Corpus Christi Holidays fall on the same day.

Citizens (including those in the Canadian Embassy) therefore can look forward to a rather lengthy weekend of four days.

Just stopping by to say hi. I decided to apply inland but that seems to be just as slow as POS. Don't know what is going on with CIC, but here they have been stuck on Oct applicants for the past 2 months. Stage 1 was supposed to be 6 months but it has now been 8 for me. This whole process is nerve wrecking.

Thank you Can-Vinc for those sweet and heart warming words and prayers of support. I receive them with open arms . I just came back from one Dr's office and she is doing one letter and my surgeon is doing another one. They are both shocked at the immigration process never having to personally experience it themselves. My husband is more stressed than I have ever seen him during all of our time together, it is awful to feel so powerless; however, I will stand on God's promises and as you mentioned, be grateful for any support at all. So many people do not get to experience that in their entire lives such as the example you referenced and that is a crying shame. I will keep everyone posted as matters progress. Blessings.

I remember they couldn't answer our cse cause it was a holiday and then later on couldn't send our passport back cause of another one! All this silence, something's gotta give, hang in there! I promise you that once you're through, this will all melt away. It's a very stressful time now, but on the timeline of your life together, it's just a small dot. Keep your eyes on the prize, it's coming

Hope you guys are having a great weekend. Today my wife and I with our daughter clad in green tops rode the subway....ran through the rain, did some shopping and back home...gosh immigration was at the back of head for once..It was so good...

Alas... I feel for ya, I know the POS pain! I'm always here lurking, sometimes just not able to find the time to post, but I'm always around. Feel free to send me a PM anytime you need me!

Things are great with us, pretty much settled into everything and enjoying the blessing of life. We're thinking of heading to DCA for creole fest, but we'll see how things go. Stay strong, keep the faith, it will all come together!
