there's one thing i can tell you and its that they take Very long to update the website. After i got my letter approving me as a sponsor I logged in and saw a comment that said:
We received your application to sponsor XXXX on March 3, 2010.

We started processing your application on March 25, 2010.

We sent you a letter on March 25, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Then nothing else was updated on there until weeks after the passport request letter was received. I was worried because other people told me that their file was updated saying Medicals received or that they had an interview date etc...
I guess every immigration officer works differently. don't worry too much, sometimes no news is good news!

I/O is JL....."BF' D is 31-01-10" even though my interview is earlier. I dont understand, maybe i am reading it wrong...

My hubby visits once every month and we always make sure we take pictures and save the receipts, I am obsess with collecting evidence, I even sent in his credit card statements showing that he pays for everything when we are together trying to prove financial support. We are looking for a new house and I sent in emails of our discussions about purchasing a new home and the potential homes what we are considering. I sent in these docs after I recieved my AOR. Here is their comment after receiving the docs: "These docs are post marriage....There is still the issue of pi's status in the US as outlined in notes of 29Jun2010...bfs of relationship still need to be determined."

Do you guys think I should send in more documents and write a letter addressing the issues mentioned earlier or should I just wait for the interview?

Confused: Do you have to be in Guyana to obtain a police clearance or can i apply from the states and how long does it take?

re: BF date. It is usually a few weeks following the interview so the IO can put in their notes gathered from you at the interview and make an unofficial decision. It really doesn't surprise me that they haven't done much on your file since it's been in process at their office. Just hang in there.

re: evidence; that's great that you tag everything you both do. Just remember to take copies for your own reference. The CC statements, trust me, I used those too. Anything you have that can prove you both have done things together you should submit.

You should really hold off on sending in documents to them now and I think it was the wrong move you made to send it more after the AOR unless you had doubts and thought it was deemed necessary. Keep the documents for your interview and present it in person to the IO if they asked. Hence, you should hold off on wanting to send them another letter. It creates more suspicion and can raise more issues than already is with the IO that you are trying very hard to 'Fake' things.

So, according to what you have said about that which is stated in your CAIPS, they are very concerned about the BFs about the rship. My honest guess is I think they probably believe you are using Canada to gain legal entry into the US (border crossing) and they need to verify that you married your hubby cuz you want to spend your life with him and not for immigration purposes. Loads of supporting documentation will help you win this battle.

re: the police check in GEO; the last time I was at the office I overheard the police said to someone that the person applying has to be present at the office to get it done. You can try the Guyana consulate in NY and see if you can get it done otherwise. It takes 5-7 days to process in GEO so my only bet is for you to come back a week in advance, apply for the PCC and uplift it a few days before your interview so you have it with you in person to hand to the IO. I think too due to the whole illegal situation in the US, they need to confirm that you were never a criminal or had any charges against you in GEO, hence your fleeing to the US.

I know it's a very complicates situation for you and it will be difficult to make these adjustments (I am in it right now) but by the grace of god and true prayers, things work out and in no time you see light at the end of the tunnel. Just hang in there and think positive thoughts.

I don't think the form is really that necessary. You can now contact the office quoting your B file number and you will get the same response as would using the form. Not a great deal and how careless of you Honey :S You need bad lixx next time you lose something CIC relating

guys out there ,especially vinnigirl, i was in the saame suituaation like you and i had my interview in guyana mid last month, your io sounds as mean as mine, my io questioned me to the last about how i got to the usa, i gave her a story, you make sure you have your story straight, i had a huge wedding in june, i didn't kknow i was gonna have an interview in sept, my hubby just called me in april and told me to plan our wedding , i had ahuge hindu wedding and reception, the io asked me why i had such expensive album and clothes,that was the meanest thing ever,i had all my wedding cards, pics of everyone at my wedding , three bros came from guyana, 250 people i catered for, yet the io was trying to tell me i did this to go to canada, but i was told being in america illegal has nothing to with you going to canada if your marriage is real.good luck guys , please reply. i came in anad had my police certificate in one day, but my bro has lil conn. good luck again

Have you heard anything yet from the IO about your case? It's long overdue that you hear something. How about the interview? Did your IO give you a thumbs up or anything?

oh *censored word*.!!!!!! i am sorry to hear! :'( i hope there is some way you can fix this...that IO is awful. i hope i don't get her! the person that collected my additional info was a guy called michael or maybe martin stewart i am wondering if he is an io.

btw are you and your hubby of different races? cause i heard of a female io that gave someone in the office (her son) some trouble and they had to go to their mp and so forth. wondering if its the same person.
