Ya i understand that but how exactly does he get an updated one from Canada? Is there a link you can give me, maybe im looking on the wrong site...
MizzDanish I noticed after posting that it says a police clearance is required for all countries other than Canada. Sorry for confusion but the visa office will notify applicants if RCMP fingerprint checks are required. No need to submit until they request. The overseas office will do a CPIC check to see if you or someone with a similar name/age has a record. If there is no record, then they will not request your fingerprints.mizzdanish said:ok so when he goes to get his fingerprints done in grenada should i tell him to do 2 sets? One to send back to me so i can submit it to the rcmp? and one for his own countries set?
Here is word for word from the guide:millslu said:it say originals of police certificate as per guide now if you check the guide it will explain a little more.
hey @moonie glad you joined, i usually like to give POS all the info becaseu when they ask for stuff it slows down your application alot, if they have a well prepared pacakged of everything they need then you save yourself some time, whether they want it or not you just give it to them just in case. but thats just me lol moooniiiiiiHalfmoon said:MizzDanish I noticed after posting that it says a police clearance is required for all countries other than Canada. thanks @moonie but a reminder i think am @mizzd she her husband i think was deported and he have to bring in an ARC so he would definatly need a RCMP from either country.Halfmoon said:Here is word for word from the guide:
Police certificates
If you and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens have to provide:
•a valid police certificate, or
•police clearance, or
•record of no information.
These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.
The certificate must have been issued no more than three months prior to submitting your application. If the original certificate is not in English or French, then you will need to submit both the certificate and the original copy of the translation prepared by an accredited translator.
It is your responsibility to contact the police or relevant authorities. When doing so, you may have to:
• pay a fee for the service, and
•provide information or documentation such as: ◦photographs,
◦fingerprints,
◦your addresses and periods of residence in the country or territory.
We will also do our own background checks to determine if there are grounds under which you and your dependants may be inadmissible to Canada.
Please consult our website for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.
I was thinking the exact same thing at first but then deleted my post. I would definitely do it right away.millslu said:thanks @ moonie but a reminder i think am @ mizzd she her husband i think was deported and he have to bring in an ARC so he would definatly need a RCMP from either country.
well @behopefull remove or deportation basically the same thing, and when you removed or deported you will need and ARC to return to the country, and yes when they sent my interview letter for me they sent a letter an application for me to do my RCMP as well, fortunately enough i already sent it for them in january 2013.Behopeful said:Hey everyone!
So to summarize you don't need to send a RCMP clearance with the original application. It's only if CIC requests it. Right?! My husband was removed from Canada (different from a deportation). Are people finding they are typically asking for it with a deportation or with a removal order?
Millslu did they request you bring the RCMP clearance to your interview or did you submit with your original application?
