Question:
we are gonna submit additional information e.g. phone calls, texts, my husband's stag party (lol), trips etc.
now on the letter they sent, they spoke a whole page on getting ready to move to canada and that you should use the employment tool and that you should have your qualifications assessed blah blah. well i had my qualifications assessed. do you think in submission of my further evidence i can submit a copy of mmy assessemnt from University of Toronto to show that all the work has been done? Its a good assessment..they indicated that my masters degree is the same as a canadian masters degree.
my husband thinks that if i do submit this that they would think i am desperate. cuase they did not ask for it. they just were talking in general about getting prepared for moving..
what do you think?
That's great you got an excellent assessment. I don't think the IO would be too interested in seeing that you got a Master's and it's been assessed by U of T. I am sure it's mentioned at some part of your initial application when you had to answer those questions on things you have done in X amount of years.
You have to also remember that with the additional documents you are submitting you must stick to the original theme of the application which would be "Spousal Sponsorship"
The evidence is always great but you have to really analyze what would be considered good evidence for an IO. By pushing the whole educational thing, it could raise a red flag to the IO that perhaps you are wanting to go to Canada to seek better employment opportunities. If however you have an interview you can bring all this stuff with you to show the IO that you are fully well prepared to get life going but remember to use it in the context of a relationship.
Be sure to include the things that you both have done together. I am guessing here that his stag party was without you?
Remember that these IOs are fully well trained in their area of expertise and it doesn't take a lot for them to weigh out the ones they feel as suspicious which could also be the innocent ones. So everything you submit to them be sure you are able to explain to the IO what, how, when, why it happened with some sort of detail. Think of this entire process as trying to sell yourself and leave an unremarkable impression that will impress a prospective employer that you are well fitted for the job.
You will be fine. Good luck!
